March 21, 2007 (Burbank, California) - Despite facing tough competition for the second week in a row from a two-hour "American Idol," The CW's new hit "Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll" continued to rank second in the target demos of women 18-34 (2.5/6), teens (2.3/7) and female teens (3.3/10), beating the Big 3, according to preliminary live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Tuesday, March 20.
"Pussycat Dolls" scored week-to-week growth in key demos, gaining 4% in women 18-34 (2.5/6), 18% in adults 18-49 (1.3/3), 19% in women 18-49 (1.9/4), 15% in teens (2.3/7), 3% in female teens (3.3/10) and 20% in viewers (3.0mil). "Pussycat Dolls" matched last week's adult 18-34 performance (1.6/4).
"Pussycat Dolls" improved dramatically on its encore "Gilmore Girls" lead-in across the board, building 60% in adults 18-34, 67% in women 18-34, 63% in adults 18-49, 73% in women 18-49, 109% in teens, 94% in female teens and 43% in viewers.
"Pussycat Dolls" continues to outperform The CW's Tuesday 9:00p.m. time period by 23% in adults 18-34, 39% in women 18-34, 18% in adults 18-49, 27% in women 18-49, 64% in teens, 65% in female teens and 20% in viewers.
