March 1, 2007 (Burbank, California) - The CW's "America's Next Top Model" roared back with its highest-rated premiere EVER in the target demos of adults 18-34 (3.5/10), women 18-34 (5.4/13), women 18-49 (3.8/9-tie) and total viewers (5.4mil), despite facing an extended 90-minute "American Idol" on Fox, according to Live Plus Same Day Nielsen ratings for Wednesday, Feb. 28.

Last night's debut also tied for the series second best premiere in adults 18-49 (2.5/6), behind only cycle seven's Sept. 06 debut.

The two-hour "Top Model" led The CW to a second place finish on Wednesday (8:00-10:00p.m.) among adults 18-34 (3.5/10), women 18-34 (5.4/13) and women 18-49 (3.8/9), behind only Fox. The CW also beat ABC and NBC in head-to-head competition in adults 18-49 (2.5/6).
