"One Tree Hill" Reaches Best Ratings Since December; Posts Double Digit Gains Over Last Week
"Beauty and The Geek" and "One Tree Hill" Each Rank Second in Women 18-34 Behind Only American Idol
The CW Ranks Second on Wednesday in Women 18-34
February 22, 2007 (Burbank, California) - The CW's "One Tree Hill" climbed to one of its best performances of the season, reaching its highest ratings since early December in adults 18-34 (2.2/6), women 18-34 (3.2/7), adults 18-49 (1.5/4), women 18-34 (2.1/4) and viewers (3.1mil), despite facing "American Idol," according to preliminary live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007.
Compared to last week's original episode, "One Tree Hill" posted dramatic double-digit increases of 29% in adults 18-34, 33% in women 18-34, 36% in adults 18-49, 40% in women 18-49 and 35% in viewers.
Competitively, "One Tree Hill" ranked second in the hour among women 18-34, behind only "American Idol," and placed third among adults 18-34, beating ABC and NBC.
A reunion of recently concluded "Beauty and the Geek" ranked second in the 8:00 p.m. hour among women 18-34 (2.0/5) and adults 18-34 (1.6/5-tie).
Overall, The CW ranked second on Wednesday among women 18-34 (2.6/7), behind only a two-hour "American Idol."
