AMC's Airing of Jeremiah Johnson Scores Record Ratings
AMC Saturday night airing of the 35th anniversary of the Robert Redford film Jeremiah Johnson, yielded a 3.09 HH rating and over 4 million viewers on AMC ranking it as the #4 highest rated program ever on the network (Behind AMC's Original Movie Broken Trail). To date, the film outperformed all other primetime theatrically-released basic cable movies for 2007.
AMC's strong performance of this title as well as strong ratings performance of Robert Duvall Western, Open Range on Friday night (2.18 HH RTG, ranking within AMC's top 10 telecasts ever), helped launch AMC to top 5 status for the week among all cable networks in HH Ratings as well as delivery of key Men 18-49 & Men 25-54 delivery.
For the week in prime, AMC ranked #3 in Men 25-54 delivery (471,000) and 4th in Men 18-49 delivery (383,000). AMC's 1.33 HH RTG in prime, ranked the net 4th among all basic cable networks.
Based on AMC's strong ratings performance in Jan 2007, the network is pacing to have its strongest January performance ever. Thru 1/21/07, AMC's is averaging a 1.12 HH RTG, up 29% compared to Jan 2006 performance last year (.87 HH RTG).
