The CW's New Sunday Delivers Gains Over The WB Sunday a Year Ago
November 21, 2006 (Burbank, CA) -- The CW continues to post Nov. sweep-to-date and season-to-date gains over The WB in the network's target demo of adults 18-34, through the week ending Nov. 19, 2006. The CW mirrors The WB's scheduling model with 6 nights and 13 hours of primetime programming.
Through 17 days of the November 2006 Sweep (11/2/06-11/19/06), The CW is delivering sweep-to-sweep growth over The WB (through the same frame of the Nov. 2005 Sweep) by 7% in adults 18-34 (1.6/5) and matches The WB in women 18-34 (2.0/5).
For the season, The CW Network is up over The WB a year ago in the network's target demos of adults 18-34 (1.7/5, +6%) and on par in women 18-34 (2.1/6). The CW was on par with UPN, which programmed 3 fewer primetime hours, in adults 18-34.

With the return of "Reba" and week-to-week growth from "7th Heaven," The CW scored its best Sunday of the season in adults 18-34 (1.3/4-tie), women 18-34 (2.0/6), adults 18-49 (1.3/3), and women 18-49 (1.9/5) and viewers (3.6mil).
With back-to-back original episodes from 7-8pm, "Reba" scored The CW's best ratings to date in the hour, including adults 18-34 (1.4/5), adults 18-49 (1.5/4), women 18-34 (1.9/6), women 18-49 (1.9/5) and viewers (4.0mil).
"Reba" posted dramatic growth from the first episode (7-7:30PM) to the second (7:30-8PM), including 23% in adults 18-34 (1.6/5 v. 1.3/4), 24% in women 18-34 (2.1/7 v. 1.7/6), 23% in adults 18-49 (1.6/5 v. 1.3/4), 24% in women 18-49 (2.1/7 v. 1.7/6) and 16% in viewers (4.3mil v. 3.7mil).
With "Reba" as its lead-in, "7th Heaven" scored The CW's best Sunday 8-9pm ratings to date in adults 18-34 (1.6/4), adults 18-49 (1.7/4), women 18-34 (2.5/7), women 18-49 (2.5/6) and viewers (4.5mil), giving 7th Heaven its best Sunday performance of the season.
"7th Heaven" improved over last week by 7% in adults 18-34, 21% in adults 18-49, 14% in women 18-34, 19% in women 18-49 and 25% in viewers.
Overall, The CW posted week-to-week gains on Sunday night of 18% in adults 18-34, 30% in adults 18-49, 25% in women 18-34, 36% in women 18-49 and 43% in viewers.
With this new Sunday line-up, The CW is out-performing The WB's Sunday on the same night last year in the network's target demos of adults 18-34 (8%) and women 18-34 (33%).

The CW's "America's Next Top Model" ranked second in the 8-9:00PM hour among adults 18-34 (2.6/8-tie) and women 18-34 (3.7/10), behind the finale of "Dancing with the Stars,
"One Tree Hill" benefited from a crossover with "Top Model," (the model who won an acting challenge in "Top Model" at 8PM, appeared in "One Tree Hill" at 9PM), as the drama scored its best women 18-34 (2.7/7) retention of the season (73%).
The CW's Wednesday marks an improvement over The WB a year ago (11/16/05), up 38% in adults 18-34 (2.2/6), 33% in women 18-34 (3.2/9), 38% in adults 18-49 (1.8/5), 33% in women 18-49 (2.4/6) and 44% in viewers (3.9mil).
