ORIGINAL MOVIES ARE THE TICKET FOR HALLMARK CHANNEL'S HIGHEST-EVER-RATED WEEK, 7/10-7/16/06
The week of July 10-16 was Hallmark Channel�s highest-ever-rated week in the
network�s 258-week history. Among Prime Time and Total Day household delivery, the
channel delivered 1,084,000 homes and 627,000 homes, respectively. The network also
tied for its highest-ever-rated week among Prime Time and Total Day household ratings
with a 1.5 HH and 0.9 HH rating, respectively. This record-breaking performance is due
in large part to Hallmark Channel�s Original movies, which are a staple to the network�s
schedule, airing Monday through Saturday at 9 p.m., ET/PT, many of wh ich delivered a
1.5 HH rating or higher during the week of 7/10-7/16/06.
This stellar performance ranked the network among the Top 10 ad-supported
cable networks for Prime Time HH rating (#4) and Total Day HH rating (#7).
Hallmark Channel is a 24-hour basic cable channel that provides a diverse slate
of high-quality entertainment programming to a national audience of 74 million
subscribers. The program service is distributed through more than 5,300 cable systems
and communities as well as direct-to-home satellite services across the country. Crown
Media also operates a second 24-hour linear channel, Hallmark Movie Channel. Through
its subsidiary, Crown Media Distribution, LLC, Crown also distributes titles from its
award-winning collection of movies, miniseries and films for exhibition in a variety of
television media including broadcast, cable, Video-on-Demand and High Definition
Television.
