· Netflix has secured the exclusive U.S. rights to the FIFA Women's World Cup for the 2027 and 2031 tournaments, marking the first time the tournament will appear on a streaming service.

· This includes the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico. The agreement covers all languages, with studio shows and top-tier talent planned with a dual telecast for both English and Spanish language broadcasts in the U.S.

· The FIFA Women's World Cup 2027, which will be hosted in Brazil from June 24 to July 25, will feature the 32 best teams from around the globe competing across twelve cities.

· The deal builds on Netflix's growing slate of premium live sports event programming, including the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight, the most-streamed sporting event ever; the highly anticipated NFL Christmas Day Games; and the streaming debut of WWE Raw.

· Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano boxing match recently set records as the most-watched professional women's sports event in U.S. history, showcasing Netflix's ability to amplify women's sports to unprecedented heights.

· With FIFA's decision to partner exclusively with Netflix, the Women's World Cup 2027 and 2031 tournaments are poised to reach even greater audiences and set new benchmarks for U.S. engagement.

· In addition to live coverage, Netflix will produce exclusive documentary programming in the lead-up to the tournament, spotlighting the world's top players, their journeys, and the global growth of women's football.

· "Our record-breaking success with Amanda Serrano vs. Katie Taylor demonstrated the massive appetite for women's sports and live programming," says Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria. "I've seen the fandom for the FIFA Women's World Cup grow tremendously - from the electric atmosphere in France in 2019, and most recently, the incredible energy across Australia and New Zealand in 2023. Bringing this iconic tournament to Netflix is not just about streaming matches - it's about celebrating the players, the culture, and the passion driving the global rise of women's sports."

· "This is a landmark moment for sports media rights," said FIFA President Gianni Infantino. "As a marquee brand and FIFA's new long-term partner, Netflix has shown a very strong level of commitment to growing women's football. This agreement sends a strong message about the real value of the FIFA Women's World Cup and the global women's game. FIFA and Netflix partnering together makes this a truly historic day for broadcasting and for women's football. Besides broadcasting the tournaments themselves, Netflix will play a key role in terms of bringing the fascination of women's football to a multimillion audience in the lead-up to both final tournaments, thereby enabling us to further increase their appeal."

· Netflix has already proven its ability to tell compelling stories from the world of football with programming including: Under Pressure: The U.S. Women's World Cup Team, Captains of the World (in partnership with FIFA), Neymar: The Perfect Chaos, Beckham, Sunderland 'Til I Die, Boca Juniors Confidential, and upcoming documentaries on Vinícius Júnior and José Mourinho.

· The FIFA Women's World Cup is the most prestigious competition in women's football and arguably the biggest women's sporting event in the world, and Netflix's historic deal ensures fans in the U.S. have unparalleled access to every match live. Fans can expect immersive coverage, star-studded studio shows, and a celebration of the women's game like never before.
