OMARION TO STAR IN AND PRODUCE NEW ALLBLK DRAMA, "WILD ROSE"

Multifaceted Talent to Portray Charming Assassin Created by Deji LaRay

NEW YORK, NY - OCTOBER 30, 2024 - ALLBLK, the popular streaming service for Black television and film from AMC Networks, today announced the greenlight of new original drama series Wild Rose (8x30). From the mind of Deji LaRay (Johnson, Escaping Paradise) and produced by and starring singer, songwriter, author and actor, Omarion, the refined series follows a charismatic hitman with a conscious, Roosevelt aka 'Rose,' who comes from a family of assassins that also happen to run a non-profit organization. Behind the non-profit façade is an elite, family-run, hired-gun agency known for taking down high-profile targets.

Trained from childhood, Rose (Omarion) has always followed orders - until now. Rose's world is turned upside down when his wife and daughter mysteriously walk out of his life and aren't heard from for months. As a man trained to trust no one, he suspects foul play and finds himself questioning everything and everyone. As he embarks on a journey to uncover the truth, he starts to unravel a web of secrets that force him to question his identity within his own family.

"I'm ecstatic that I'm back on your television in a new way," shared Executive Producer and Star Omarion. The "Wild Rose" is coming. I can't wait for the ALLBLK fans and others to see a different side of me. I've never played a character quite like this. Let's just say I'm venturing out of my comfort zone. Every new project is an opportunity to learn, grow and expand my range as an actor. Rose is not your average assassin. The wild rose is loading... "

"Omarion is a quadruple threat who has had an impressive career spanning mediums and decades, said Brett Dismuke, Head of Content, ALLBLK & We TV. "ALLBLK is elated to partner with him and Deji LaRay to bring Wild Rose to life on the small screen. ALLBLK is known as the premier destination for Black creators and storytellers, making the platform the perfect home for Wild Rose. We can't wait to share this new, intriguing and edge-of-your-seat series with our subscribers."

Wild Rose is created by Deji LaRay and executive produced by Omarion, Michelle Le Fleur and LaRay for Omarion Worldwide LLC. Dale S. Lewis and Erik White serve as directors. Brett Dismuke, Head of Content, Nikki Love, SVP Development & Original Production, Scripted and Kate Farrell, VP Development & Original Production, Scripted executive produce for ALLBLK.

Production on Wild Rose will commence this November in Los Angeles. ALLBLK holds exclusive worldwide rights to the series.
