The history behind the most iconic games and how they went on to influence the world of pop culture and beyond will be explored in GAME CHANGERS, premiering on Tuesday, November 5 at 9PM ET/PT on Discovery Channel. From Pong to Call of Duty and Monopoly to Minecraft, this eight-part limited series dives into the little-known backstories of how these wildly popular and successful games were created. Interviews with inventors, journalists, video game enthusiasts, authors and more reveal the brilliant inspiration and dirty deals that brought these games to the public.
Episodes will cover:

· Atari/Pac-Man - Taking concepts and ideas from the first ever video game, Nolan Bushnell founded Atari and helped create both the commercial video game and home console gaming industries, starting with the game "Pong" paving the way to Pac Man.
· EA Sports/Madden - Electronic Arts and John Madden set out to make the world's first realistic football video game. Instead, they created the greatest football video game of all time.
· Activision/Call of Duty - The mega franchise Call of Duty takes players onto the battlefield, but the story of its creation takes us behind enemy lines, and inside the greedy gaming companies who spawned it.
· SEGA/Sonic the Hedgehog - SEGA enters a do or die period with the launch of their 6-bit Genesis and levels the playing field against a certain Italian Plumber with a brand-new mascot of their own.
· Blizzard/World of Warcraft - This quest into the vast realms leads us to the wise game developing warriors who faced insurmountable obstacles to collect the gold. It's a journey that starts with a small loan from grandma and continues into the annals of game history.
· Monopoly/Scrabble - The most iconic board games ever made all have unusual histories of origin and ownership. While they have entertained countless households, families and fans for decades, the surprising tales of how they were created range from innocent, quirky to downright thievery.
· Minecraft - This billion-dollar empire was built one block at a time, by setting players free in a colorful pixelated sandbox to create their own worlds through mining, surviving, creating... . and dealing with the occasional zombie.
