Prime Video's slate continues to grow in Italy with new Original and exclusive movies, series and shows joining some of the most anticipated Italian series already announced and coming soon

New Italian titles were announced, such as the new Original films Natale senza Babbo, Non è un paese per single and Love Me Love Me, the shows The Traitors and Red carpet - vip al tappeto, the animated series Il Baracchino and a new project by Maccio Capatonda, as well as the renewals for a second season of the series Gigolò per caso and Pesci Piccoli, and the return of LOL: Chi ride è fuori S5 and LOL Talent Show: Chi fa ridere è dentro S2.

The Prime Video Presents was also an opportunity to unveil many new features and show the first exclusive images of Prime Video's highly anticipated upcoming series: Citadel: Diana, Costiera, and the new seasons of The Bad Guy, Dinner Club, and Sono Lillo.

Today, at Prime Video Presents Italia 2024, held in Rome, Prime Video unveiled new titles, as well as exclusively showing the first images of Italian Original and exclusive movies, series and shows coming soon. Prime Video also announced news about its roster of commentators for the 2024 - 2025 UEFA Champions League season.

In the rich slate of announcements there are new Italian Original and exclusive movies, series and shows and previously announced titles whose first exclusive images have been revealed. Among the new announcements were the Original films Natale senza Babbo, Non è un paese per single and Love Me Love Me, the shows The Traitors and Red carpet - vip al tappeto, the animated series Il Baracchino and a new series by Maccio Capatonda, as well as renewals for a second season of the series Gigolò per caso and Pesci Piccoli, and the return of LOL: Chi ride è fuori S5 and LOL Talent Show: Chi fa ridere è dentro S2.

Prime Video Presents was also an opportunity to unveil many new features, show the first exclusive images and announce the release date of the Italian spy series from the world of Citadel, Citadel: Diana, starring Matilda De Angelis as the protagonist, which will debut exclusively on Prime Video worldwide from October 10. Also previews of other highly anticipated new Prime Video series and shows were shown, such as Costiera, The Bad Guy S2, Dinner Club S3, and Sono Lillo S2, as well as never-before-seen content from some upcoming titles, such as the Roland Emmerich-directed series Those About to Die, Sul più bello - La serie and the movie Falla girare 2 - Offline.

The event was also an opportunity to recall Prime Video's many projects and investments in the Italian entertainment industry, like the collaboration with IC Italia, for the training - through the funding of 8 scholarships - of Intimacy Coordinators, professional figures not present so far in Italy but essential to protect artists during the filming of intimate scenes, thus ensuring a safe and ethically respectful set. A highly successful project that allowed 8 Italian professionals from the audiovisual industry to train within the Intimacy Coordinator Training Program of Moving Body Arts, recognized by the SAG-AFTRA union, enabling them to pursue careers as Intimacy Coordinators. Furthermore, Prime Video, in collaboration with the Federico II University of Naples, was the first partner to support the Audiovisual Napoli HUB project, providing 7 masterclasses by leading executives as well as 6 internship positions on the sets of Amazon MGM Studios Original Italian productions to 80 people who are not currently employed or studying. Last but not least, the strong commitment towards sustainability that increasingly marks the sets and production choices of Prime Video and its partners with the aim of reducing the impact the entertainment industry has on the environment. To date, 80% of Prime Video's signature productions on a global level implement sustainability protocols, a figure that will reach 100% by the end of 2024.

Once again Prime Video confirms its role as a key player in Italy, with constant work on innovative content that aim to offer its viewers always new and compelling stories, with very high production standards, and with rising stars and established professionals behind and in front of the camera, guaranteeing a strong local identity and at the same time a great international momentum. Natale senza Babbo

When Santa Claus (Alessandro Gassmann), during an existential crisis, decides to take a vacation and suddenly disappears, his wife Margaret (Luisa Ranieri) - always ready to support (and endure) her husband Nicola - has nothing left to do but roll up her sleeves and save the most special day of the year. It won't be an easy task, because the enterprising witch Sabrina (Caterina Murino), better known as the "Befana," and her friend Santa Lucia (Valentina Romani) are determined to steal the show from Santa Claus by becoming the stars of the Holidays. The cast of Natale senza Babbo also includes Diego Abatantuono, Angela Finocchiaro Francesco Centorame and Simone Susinna. The new Original Christmas comedy co-produced by Amazon MGM Studios with Gaumont Italia is directed by Stefano Cipani, and written by Michela Andreozzi with the collaboration of Filippo Macchiusi. Natale senza Babbo will be available exclusively on Prime Video worldwide at Christmas 2025.

Non è un paese per single

The new film co-produced by Amazon MGM Studios with Italian International Film (Lucisano Media Group) will be an adaptation from the novel "Non è un paese per single" (published in Italy by Newton Compton Editori) by record-breaking author Felicia Kingsley, author of the year at the 2024 TikTok Book Awards, whose novels are published in sixteen countries and loved by more than 3 million readers. In an idyllic Tuscan town, Belvedere in Chianti, all the women are married or looking for the perfect husband, except Elisa, a single mother who runs Le Giuggiole vineyard. The return to the town of a childhood friend she had lost sight of for years turns her life upside down and reawakens feelings she thought had been gone forever. Directed by Laura Chiossone and written by Alessandra Martellini, Giulia Magda Martinez and Matteo Visconti, Non è un paese per single will be available exclusively worldwide on Prime Video.

Love Me Love Me

Another Original film is the screen adaptation of "Love Me, Love Me" the first novel from Stefania S.'s Wattpad trilogy that has over 19 million reads, and is published in Italy by Sperling & Kupfer. The Original Italian film Love Me Love Me, a young adult romance written by Veronica Galli and Serena Tateo, will be co-produced by Lotus Production - part of Leone Film Group - and Amazon MGM Studios, with the support of Wattpad WEBTOON Studios, and will be available exclusively on Prime Video worldwide.

Series

Maccio Capatonda series (untitled)

A new comedy series starring Maccio Capatonda has been announced. The six-episode series is written by Marcello Macchia, Alessandro Bosi, Mary Stella Brugiati and Valerio Desirò, directed by Alessio Dogana and Marcello Macchia and produced by Banijay Italia in collaboration with Prime Video. The title and further details will be announced later. The series will be available exclusively on Prime Video in 2025.

Il Baracchino

The new Italian animation series Il Baracchino, featuring a voice cast of beloved characters, was announced at the Prime Video Presents. Il Baracchino, a former temple of comedy and mecca for every aspiring comedian, is now in ruins. Maurizio (Lillo Petrolo), the tired and disillusioned owner, is ready to close, but Claudia (Pilar Fogliati), an idealistic aspiring art-director, is not giving up. With a bold vision, she organizes an Open Mic night to relaunch the venue, recruiting a group of quirky and unlikely comedians: Luca (Luca Ravenna), a heavy smoker pigeon with caustic humor; Leonardo Da Vinci (Edoardo Ferrario); boomer genius John Lumano (Daniele Tinti); Marco Morte, an incognito alien and grim reaper (Stefano Rapone); Noemi (Michela Giraud), a bitterly frosted doughnut; and Tricerita (Yoko Yamada), a triceratops with eco-anxiety. Together with them, and with the help of Gerri the Handyman (Salvo Di Paola), former sly comedian Larry Tucano (Pietro Sermonti), and Donato (Frank Matano), a sensitive-souled doughnut, Claudia embarks on the impossible task of restoring the Baracchino to its glory days. Gigolò per caso S2

The Italian Original comedy series Gigolò per caso will return for a second season starring again the unprecedented father-son duo Christian De Sica and Pietro Sermonti as they grapple with hilarious new adventures and a conflictual relationship with comic implications. Co-produced by Amazon MGM Studios with Serena Sostegni, Stefano Massenzi and Andrea Occhipinti for Lucky Red, Gigolò per caso will be directed again by Eros Puglielli, while Tommaso Renzoni, Elena Santoro and Matteo Calzolaio will sign subject and screenplay. Gigolò per caso will be available exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Pesci Piccoli S2

Pesci Piccoli returns with its second season: the series starring The Jackal (Ciro Priello, Fabio Balsamo, Aurora Leone, Gianluca Fru) and a small (and ramshackle) advertising agency, which continues to grow. Greta (Martina Tinnirello) pushes the company toward challenges on a national scale with the complicity of producer Fabio. Aurora gets over a break up and focuses on her career path, Fru and Ciro deal with their traumas while learning more and more to accept each other. The second season of Pesci Piccoli dives into a tale about the many ways of accepting a life different from the models of perfection millennials have grown up with. The eight-episode series is conceived by Francesco Ebbasta and Alessandro Grespan, who also sign the screenplay together with Alessandro Bosi and Mary Stella Brugiati, and directed by Francesco Ebbasta, Alessandro Grespan, Danilo Carlani and Alessio Dogana. Produced by The Jackal and Mad Entertainment in collaboration with Prime Video, the second season of Pesci Piccoli will be available exclusively on Prime Video in 2025.

The Traitors

Coming to Italy the BAFTA and Emmy-winning format The Traitors, a suspenseful psychological reality show that will keep audiences glued to the screen through a gripping intrigue of betrayal and deceit. A group of celebrities roam a spectacular mansion challenging each other in a psychological game that involves constant teamwork to complete missions and accumulate a cash prize. But hidden among the contestants are traitors who will try to deceive and manipulate the rest of the group to grab the ultimate prize for themselves alone, while the others, unaware of who the traitors are, work as a team with the aim of eliminating them from the game. The stakes will be high and will test everyone's ability to juggle a dense web of alliances and betrayals. If at least one traitor makes it to the end of the game he will keep the entire prize money for himself, but if all the traitors are unmasked, the other participants still in the game can divide the prize equally. Created in the Netherlands by IDTV, an All3Media company, The Traitors format was further developed with the RTL Creative Unit and originally produced by IDTV for RTL4. Red Carpet - vip al tappeto An unprecedented red-carpet challenge will be the focus of this new Prime Video game show in which Alessia Marcuzzi will be, not only the presenter, but also the head of a bodyguard agency. She will be the one to entrust three teams of bodyguards with the mission of escorting to their final destination five celebrities by making them stay at all costs on the red carpet that rolls out at their feet. Accompanying the improbable exploits of the poor fellows, among physical obstacles, unexpected contingencies and amusing hecklers who will get in their way, will be the relentless commentary of Gialappa's Band (Marco Santin and Giorgio Gherarducci). The celebrity who steps off the red carpet even for a moment will lose one of his or her bodyguards. The team that first manages to escort its star to the final destination without a hitch will win. LOL: Chi ride è fuori S5 & LOL Talent Show: Chi fa ridere è dentro S2

The record-breaking show LOL: Chi ride è fuori will return with a new cast of ten great comedians and laughing professionals who will face the dreaded challenge to remain serious for six consecutive hours trying to make their opponents laugh, to win a final prize of 100,000 euros to benefit a charity chosen by whoever wins. Once again, the tenth challenger in the arena of LOL: Chi ride è fuori will be one among the professional comedians, amateurs and artists of all kinds who will perform in front of an exceptional jury in the second season of LOL Talent Show: Chi fa ridere è dentro. Elio and Katia Follesa, among the most beloved stars of past editions of LOL, will return as jurors, and they will be joined by Lillo Petrolo. While Mago Forest, also a veteran of the popular comedy show, will accompany the judges in their search for the next LOL contestant. Citadel: Diana

Prime Video unveiled new imagery for the highly anticipated Italian series within the world of Citadel, Citadel: Diana and announced that all six episodes of the new spy series produced by Cattleya - part of ITV Studios - and Amazon MGM Studios, and executive produced by the Russo Brothers' AGBO, will debut exclusively on Prime Video globally on October 10. Citadel: Diana stars Matilda De Angelis (The Undoing) as the central character and also features an international cast, including Lorenzo Cervasio, Maurizio Lombardi, Julia Piaton, Thekla Reuten, Giordana Faggiano, Daniele Paoloni, Bernhard Schütz and Filippo Nigro.

Milan, 2030: Eight years ago, the independent global spy agency Citadel was destroyed by the powerful enemy syndicate, Manticore. Since then, Diana Cavalieri (Matilda De Angelis), an undercover Citadel agent, is alone, trapped behind enemy lines as a mole in Manticore. When she finally sees a way out and the chance to disappear forever, the only way to do so is trusting the most unexpected ally, Edo Zani (Lorenzo Cervasio), the heir of Manticore Italy and son of the head of the Italian organization, Ettore Zani (Maurizio Lombardi), who's vying for leadership against the other European families.

The Bad Guy S2

New cast members were announced for the second season of The Bad Guy, unveiling new images from the series. Aldo Baglio and Carolina Crescentini will join Luigi Lo Cascio and Claudia Pandolfi, along with the already announced Stefano Accorsi. The cast will also include Selene Caramazza, Giulia Maenza and Antonio Catania. The first season of The Bad Guy, acclaimed by audiences and critics, told the story of upstanding Sicilian prosecutor Nino Scotellaro, convicted of mafia charges, given up for dead, and becoming the bad guy he was wrongly accused of being. This second season returns as a bridge between past and future in a tale that combines crime with dark comedy and will let secrets emerge that will once again twist the division between good guys and bad guys. Costiera

The first images of the international light action-drama series Costiera were unveiled, starring Jesse Williams joined by a rich cast of Italian and international talent, such as Maria Chiara Giannetta, Jordan Alexandra, Antonio Gerardi, Sam Haygarth, Tommaso Ragno, Amanda Campana, Pierpaolo Spollon, Alejandra Onieva and Jean-Hugues Anglade. Daniel De Luca (Jesse Williams) is a half Italian former U.S. marine who returns to Italy, the land of his childhood, as a fixer in one of the world's most luxurious hotels, located on the spectacular coastline of Positano. In addition to dealing with the hotel's wealthy guests' problems, Daniel is also on the trail of Alice, one of the owner's daughters who disappeared a month earlier. Daniel must do everything he can to bring her home, but facing those who kidnapped the girl will be more challenging than any problem Daniel has ever faced. Costiera is shot in English and directed by Emmy award winner Adam Bernstein and Giacomo Martelli. Dinner Club S3

New details from the third season of the beloved Italian Original show Dinner Club were unveiled at the Prime Video Presents. After the success of the first two seasons, Dinner Club, Prime Video's innovative food travelogue created and produced in Italy, is back, with big surprises and, again, an extraordinary cast of beloved talents: Michelin-starred chef Carlo Cracco will again travel around Italy with very special companions, Italian actors Christian De Sica, Emanuela Fanelli and Rocco Papaleo, who will embark on an adventurous culinary grand tour of Italy that will bring them to discover tastes, people and traditions along the Appia Antica, starting in Rome and crossing Lazio, Campania and Basilicata and then arriving in Brindisi. Moreover, exceptional guest stars and honorary members of the Dinner Club, Antonio Albanese and Sabrina Ferilli will join them throughout the dinners. But this year there will be an exceptional extraordinary "dinner crasher", Corrado Guzzanti, in the role of Dinner Club's special observer. The third season of Dinner Club is produced by Banijay Italia for Amazon MGM Studios and will be available from November 21 exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Sono Lillo S2

After the success of the first season, Lillo Petrolo returns in Sono Lillo for an absurd new adventure. Thanks to Posaman, the most superhero-like superhero ever, Lillo now enjoys enormous popularity. But on the American set of his next film, he finds out that Sergio has sold all his image rights for a blockbuster movie about Posaman as a Camorra superhero. Desperate, he tries hard to get out of the film that could destroy his career. To make things even worse, identity and love issues arise with Marzia's return from Japan, plus curses and passages to other dimensions. Besides Lillo Petrolo the cast includes Pietro Sermonti, Sara Lazzaro, Katia Follesa, Marco Marzocca, Cristiano Caccamo, with Paolo Calabresi, and with Corrado Guzzanti. Those About To Die

Directed by Roland Emmerich (Moonfall, Independence Day, Godzilla) and created by Oscar (R)-nominated writer Robert Rodat (The Patriot, Saving Private Ryan), Those About To Die, is inspired by Daniel P. Mannix's essay of the same name, and will take viewers into the spectacular, complex and corrupt world of chariot races and gladiator combat in ancient Rome. The cast of the series includes Academy Award(R) winner Sir Anthony Hopkins, Iwan Rheon, Tom Hughes, Sara Martins and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, and in addition, Jojo Macari, Gabriella Pession, Dimitri Leonidas, Emilio Sakraya, Moe Hashim, Rupert Penry Jones, among others. AGC Television's Those About To Die was commissioned by High End Productions, the recent joint venture formed by Herbert G. Kloiber and Constantin Film, with U.S. streaming service Peacock, and is produced by Centropolis, Hollywood Gang, and Street Entertainment. The adventures of Marta and her friends continue. Saved from rejection from lung surgery, Marta decides that she wants to take charge of her own life. However, she is no longer with Gabriele, who never left her during the most difficult moments of her illness but who in the end turned out to be only a good friend and not the man of her life. It is also time for Jacopo and Federica to grow up and take responsibility. The release date of the film Falla girare 2 - Offline, directed by and starring Giampaolo Morelli with Ciro Priello, Fabio Balsamo, Giovanni Esposito, Desirée Pöpper, Valeria Angione, Livio Kone, Gianfranco Gallo, Beatrice Schiros and with Christopher Lambert, has been revealed. For more than a year the world has been into an unprecedented state: it is completely offline and, due to a virus, the Internet no longer exists. Everyone seems, despite themselves, to have resigned themselves to this new "analog" condition of living their everyday life, including Natan who, after giving up his job as an influencer, has had to reinvent himself as a promoter of household equipment in supermarkets. Things are no better for his brother Arturo and his friends. When Arturo lets slip that there is a very faint signal in the bathrooms of the Town Hall offices, Natan decides to act: he will bring the Internet back into the world. But it won't be so easy.
