ALERT: MISSING PERSONS UNIT (FOX) - The network has commissioned a third season of the procedural drama with production remaining continuous from the end of season two. (Deadline.com, 5/10)
ALL AMERICAN (The CW) - Taye Diggs will reprise his role of Billy Baker in the show's May 20 episode. (Deadline.com, 5/9)
BLADE RUNNER 2099 (Amazon) - Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh is set to star in the limited series follow-up the 2017 movie sequel "Blade Runner 2049." No details were given about her role. (Deadline.com, 5/7)

DOWNFORCE (Hulu, New!) - Alec Berg and Adam Countee have scored a pilot order from the streamer for a new comedy "about an heiress to a dynastic racing team who is thrust back into the family business. She needs to make some hard choices about the future of the team and her family's legacy." Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Daniel Ricciardo and Amy Solomon will also executive produce for Temple Hill Entertainment and Lionsgate Television. (Deadline.com, 5/8)
EXTENDED FAMILY (NBC) - The network has axed the comedy series after one season. (Deadline.com, 5/7)
FIREBUG (Apple TV+) - The Taron Egerton-led drama has cast Rafe Spall, Greg Kinnear, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine and Hannah Emily Anderson. No details were given about their roles in the project, which also stars Jurnee Smollett and John Leguizamo. (Deadline.com, 5/6)
FRIDAY THE 13TH (Peacock) - Bryan Fuller has confirmed his exit from the prequel series on social media. (@bryanfullergram, 5/8)
GODS IN ALABAMA (Amazon, New!) - Kathryn Price and Nichole Millard are spearheading a TV series based on Joshilyn Jackson's novel: "The book, first published in 2015, revolves around a young lawyer who promised God that she'd never return home to Alabama but is forced to go back to the South to defend a high school classmate accused of a murder she knows something about. In returning home, she'll confront a simmering stew of family conflict, a hometown that hates her for defending the alleged killer of a local hero and all of the ghosts of her past." Marc Resteghini will also executive produce. (THR.com, 5/6)
GROTESQUERIE (FX) - Travis Kelce has booked a role on Ryan Murphy's latest entry in a yet-to-be-revealed role. (Deadline.com, 5/7)
HAPPY FACE (Paramount+) - Damon Gupton and Momona Tamada will both recur on the upcoming drama series. Gupton plays Elijah, "who was convicted of murder in 1995, when he was in his early 20s, and he's been on death row in Texas ever since. Elijah has always maintained his innocence, but it's not until the Happy Face Killer gets involved in his case that the world begins to listen. Two months out from his execution, Elijah must grapple with a feeling he let go of a long time ago: hope." And Tamada portrays "15-year-old Eva, Hazel's childhood best friend, who has drifted away from Hazel and into the cool girl clique. But Eva is a true crime aficionado, and when she learns that her old friend has a link to the Happy Face Killer, she and the rest of the cool girls invite Hazel into the fold." (Deadline.com, 5/9)
HOUSEBROKEN (FOX) - The network has confirmed the animated comedy will not return for a third season. Season two concluded last summer, averaging 1.0 million viewers and a 0.1 L7 rating among adults 18-49. (FOX.com, 5/10)
HUNTING PARTY, THE (NBC) - Patrick Sabongui and Sara Garcia have both been cast in the Melissa Roxburgh-led drama series. Garcia will play Jennifer Morales: "A bright and natural optimist despite her tough upbringing, Jennifer is an intel officer and major in the Army." And Sabongui portrays Ryan Hassani: "Rugged and world-worn but with a casual air, Hassani is a CIA agent tasked with managing the crisis." Roxburgh stars as Rebecca "Bex" Henderson: "Shrewd, steadfast and obsessively curious, Bex is an ex-FBI agent recruited to an elite government task force due to her reputation as a savvy profiler who's caught some of the world's most dangerous serial killers." KNIGHT OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS, A: THE HEDGE KNIGHT (HBO) - Executive producer Owen Harris will direct the first three of the planned six-episode season. (THR.com, 5/7)
LANDMAN (Paramount+) - Michael Peña will guest on the Billy Bob Thornton-led drama in a yet-to-be-revealed role. (Variety.com, 5/8)
LAW & ORDER (NBC) - Camryn Manheim's Lieutenant Kate Dixon is exiting the series after three seasons. (Variety.com, 5/10)
LEANNE MORGAN SCRIPTED COMEDY (Netflix) - Kristen Johnston will star opposite Leanne Morgan in the project as her sister Carol, "a two-time divorcee with no kids who would rather hang out at a bar than attend church. Despite their differences, Carol is fiercely loyal to her sister Leanne and is her ride-or-die." (Deadline.com, 5/9)
MAYOR OF KINGSTOWN (Paramount+) - Matthew Del Negro will recur in five of the 10 third season episodes as Will Breen, "a charming, seemingly good natured corrections officer at the Kingstown Women's Prison." (Deadline.com, 5/8)
MR. THROWBACK (Peacock) - Ego Nwodim will star opposite Adam Pally and Stephen Curry in the comedy series as Kimberly, "Steph's childhood friend, business partner, manager and essentially his overall handler. Kimberly, Steph, and Danny all grew up together, and while Kimberly is happy to see Danny pop back up in their lives, he's not about to let Steph get taken advantage of by any of Danny's schemes." (Deadline.com, 5/10)
NCIS: ORIGINS (CBS) - Patrick Fischler and Julian Black Antelope will both recur on the prequel series. Fischer will play NCIS Special Agent in Charge Cliff Walker, "who oversees the fledgling NIS Pendleton Office. Constantly seeing his little-known agency pushed aside by bigger fish, Walker puts his career on the line to earn NIS Pendleton the respect it deserves." And Antelope will portray Chief Medical Examiner Kai Blackrock, "who is at the top of his game, working out of the busy San Diego County M.E.'s Office. Though he appears unflappable, Blackrock's complicated ties to NIS force him to face his own vulnerabilities." (Deadline.com, 5/8)
NCIS: TONY & ZIVA (A.K.A. NCIS DE PABLO AND WEATHERLY SPINOFF) (Paramount+) - Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo have announced the official moniker of their upcoming series: "NCIS: Tony & Ziva." (@paramountplus, 5/7)
NEW HOUSE NO DEBT (A&E, New!) - The network's Home.Made.Nation lifestyle block has landed a new series from Critical Content: "The series follows the personal and emotional journeys of homeowners from across the U.S. who are seeking to sell their properties at a high and purchase a new home completely mortgage-free. In each episode, a new duo of home buyers visits multiple - and sometimes wildly different - areas across the country to compare not just real estate, but the locations themselves. It will feature cities and towns across the U.S. and while each journey will be different, one thing is constant: Cash is king." Jenny Daly, Dean Ollins, Jon Byer, Teri Kennedy and Jordan Harman are the executive producers. (Deadline.com, 5/7)
NOT DEAD YET (ABC) - The Alphabet has canceled the Gina Rodriguez-led comedy after two seasons. (Deadline.com, 5/10)
OTHER BLACK GIRL, THE (Hulu) - Onyx Collective's comedy series has been canceled after one season. (THR.com, 5/10)
PEACEMAKER (Max) - James Gunn took to social media with the news that Frank Grillo will reprise the role of Rick Flag Sr. on the series. Said role will originate in the upcoming animated series "Creature Commandos." (@jamesgunn, 5/10)
PENELOPE (Netflix, New!) - The streamer has acquired the U.S. rights to the independently produced series from co-creators Mark Duplass and Mel Eslyn. The eight-episode project stars Megan Stott and Austin Abrams and "follows a 16-year-old girl who abruptly leaves her family and the comforts of life behind after developing an almost cosmic-like attraction to the wilderness. In the wild, she begins to forge a new kind of existence via trial-and-error in a survivalism meets coming-of-age tale." Jay Duplass and Shuli Harel also executive produce for Duplass Brothers Productions. Eslyn directed. (THR.com, 5/5)
POKER FACE (Peacock) - Natasha Lyonne's Animal Pictures has signed a first-look deal for film and TV with Sister. Said pact "marks the first deal for Animal Pictures with Lyonne solely at the helm after she and original partner Maya Rudolph parted ways last fall." (Deadline.com, 5/9)
P-VALLEY (Starz) - Gail Bean's Roulette, Bertram Williams Jr's Woddy, and Thomas Q. Jones's Mane will return as regulars for the series' third season, which has also added Mea Wilkerson as Haiku, "an enigmatic new dancer who thrives on chaos, finding solace in the messy choices that ignite her spirit and remind her what it means to truly feel alive." REAL ESTATE KING (A&E, New!) - The network's Home.Made.Nation lifestyle block has acquired the series featuring real estate investor Grant Cardone: "The show follows Cardone as he is pitched a variety of real estate deals by local real estate operators and wannabes alike, as they vie for the opportunity to get a deal funded by the real estate king himself." 10X Studios' Cardone and Aengus James are the executive producers on the project, due on June 12. (Deadline.com, 5/10)
RESCUE: HI-SURF (FOX) - Shawn Hatosy and Ian Anthony Dale will both recur on the upcoming drama series. Hatosy will play Clayton Emerson, "a natural politician and the father of rookie lifeguard Kainalu (Alex Aiono). Councilman Emerson is a shoe-in as the next Honolulu Mayor, a position that can work to his and Sonny's (Robbie Magasiva) mutual advantage when it comes to getting things they want." And Dale will play Sean Harimoto, "a local fireman who winds up working with Em (Arielle Kebbel) on a rescue. Impressed by Em's fearless approach towards her job, Sean is interested in getting to know her better." (Deadline.com, 5/7)
RESIDENT ALIEN (Syfy) - Sibling USA Network is reportedly exploring picking up the series for a fourth season as "a return to Syfy appears unlikely." (Deadline.com, 5/7)
SCAVENGERS REIGN (Max) - The streamer has pulled the plug on the animated sci-fi drama after one seasons. Netflix has since acquired the non-exclusive rights to the series, which will be available in the U.S., the U.K., Ireland and New Zealand beginning May 31. Said move opens the door for a potential second season on the service should ratings merit. (Variety.com, 5/10)
SHIFTING GEARS (ABC) - Daryl "Chill" Mitchell and Froy Gutierrez will join Tim Allen and Kat Dennings in the multi-camera comedy pilot. Mitchell will star as Ed, "a former Marine. He's a mechanic at the shop and 'work husband' of Frankie." And Gutierrez is Nick, "Matt's son and Riley's younger brother. He's a game coder but put his life on hold to come home and help his father at the shop." Additionally, John Pasquin will direct and executive produce the pilot. (Variety.com, 5/8)
SHŌGUN (FX on Hulu) - Star/producer Hiroyuki Sanada has reportedly closed a deal to return as Yoshii Toranaga for a proposed second season of the limited series. (Deadline.com, 5/10)
SUPERMAN & LOIS (The CW) - Arrowverse staple Tom Cavanagh will direct and guest star in the show's series finale. No details were given about what role he will be playing. (TVLine.com, 5/6)
UNIVERSAL BASIC GUYS (FOX) - Creators Adam and Craig Malamut have signed an overall deal with Sony Pictures Television, co-producer of their upcoming animated series. (Variety.com, 5/6)
UNTITLED PHIL KEOGHAN PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Phil Keoghan is spearheading another unscripted competition series for the Eye which is "expected to feature athletes with brains, brawn, endurance, agility and mental toughness, who will compete to prove themselves as the toughest." Keoghan's Tough House Productions is producing. It's unclear if Keoghan will host should it move forward. (Deadline.com, 5/8)
UNTITLED RENEE BALLARD BOSCH SPIN-OFF PROJECT (Amazon) - Jet Wilkinson has been tapped to direct and executive produce the first two episodes of the spin-off series as well as the Season 3 finale of "Bosch: Legacy," which will introduce Maggie Q as Renée Ballard. (Deadline.com, 5/9)
UNTITLED WILLY WONKA COMPETITION SERIES (Netflix, New!) - The streamer is developing a reality competition series based on the Roald Dahl story. Fremantle, Wall to Wall, Nobody's Hero, and The Garden were said to be among the companies participating on the bake-off style process. Only the former two remain under consideration. YOU (Netflix) - The show's final season has tapped the following actors to recur: Natasha Behnam as Dominique, "while appearing to be an aloof hipster, Dominique is in fact a passionate, clever, fiercely loyal young woman"; Pete Ploszek as Harrison, "Joe's golden retriever brother-in-law"; Tom Francis as Clayton, "a pretentious, self-absorbed, wannabe author whose vindictive, controlling nature draws Joe's attention"; and b as Phoenix, "who's shrewd and resourceful with a strong moral code."
