LIGHTS, CAMERA... 'ACTION'!
THE HIGH-OCTANE DOCUMENTARY SERIES MAKES ITS STREAMING DEBUT ON PEACOCK ON APRIL 26
From blockbuster filmmakers David Leitch and Kelly McCormick, and Universal Pictures Content Group (UPCG) comes the ultimate premium documentary, ACTION; a new series featuring the real lives behind some of Hollywood's top stunt performers, including behind-the-scenes footage of Universal Pictures' The Fall Guy (in theaters May 3).
ACTION is the adrenaline-fueled docuseries from 87North, the world-renowned production company of blockbuster filmmakers David Leitch and Kelly McCormick who are the force behind icon action tentpole films such as Bullet Train, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, and Atomic Blonde. In this series, their 87North stunt team takes center stage, revealing the captivating stories of ordinary individuals who are drawn to the electrifying world of action sports, martial arts, motocross and more. These daredevils navigate the high-octane, highly skilled, and often perilous world of film stunts, balancing their professional passion with the demands of everyday life.
At a time when global fascination with multi-million-dollar action films has reached a fever pitch, ACTION takes you behind the scenes of Hollywood's biggest movie sets to witness these unsung heroes become stunt doubles for A-list stars like Ryan Gosling and David Harbour. The series also features Keanu Reeves taking audiences through his love for the art of action and why these real-life action heroes deserve industry recognition.
Audiences will also get a front row seat to the making of Universal Pictures' The Fall Guy, starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, directed by David Leitch, and produced by Kelly McCormick and David Leitch. This film celebrates the untold brilliance of stunt performers in Hollywood and is a love letter to the folks who put their lives on the line to bring us cinema's most unforgettable moments. Universal Pictures' The Fall Guy hits theaters May 3 and will stream exclusively on Peacock later this year.
In ACTION, every exhilarating episode reveals the indomitable spirit and camaraderie that binds together this remarkable group of stunt people. Their shared dreams and love for all things action unite them as they carve their names into the annals of Hollywood history. But be prepared for more than just jaw-dropping stunts; delve into their personal lives and witness the sacrifices they make and the challenges they conquer while juggling the most unique day job on the planet.
Leitch and McCormick are executive producers on ACTION, working with an award-winning creative team in executive producer Josh Oreck (John Wick, Sherlock Holmes) and directors Bridger Nielson (All Things Must Pass, The Prodigy) and Chelsea Allen (Prop Culture, Fam Jam).
