HALLOWEEN (New!) - Miramax has scored the TV rights to the "Halloween" franchise from Trancas International Films in a 'wide-ranging deal with Trancas to develop and co-produce a Halloween TV series." (Deadline.com, 10/12)

JFK: COMING OF AGE IN THE AMERICAN CENTURY (Netflix, New!) - Eric Roth is spearheading a "The Crown"-esque limited series at the streamer inspired by Fredrik Logevall's planned two-volume biography of U.S. President John F. TIANA (Disney+) - Joyce Sherri has been tapped as the lead writer and director of the upcoming animated series, a followup to the 2009 animated film "The Princess and the Frog." UNTITLED SUITS PROJECT (NBCUniversal, New!) - "Suits" creator Aaron Korsh is back in business with NBCUniversal for an offshoot of the much-ballyhooed series. David Bartis and Doug Liman are also likely to executive produce the project for UCP, which "is expected to be fast-tracked with a serious commitment." Adding, "the new legal procedural is not a spinoff either - it would be a Suits universe series in the vein of the CSI and NCIS franchises featuring new characters in a new location." No target network was specified. (Deadline.com, 10/12)
