JENNA BOYD NAMED SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, DEVELOPMENT, DISNEY BRANDED TELEVISION

Veteran kids' and family entertainment executive Jenna Boyd has joined Disney Branded Television (DBT) as senior vice president of Development, it was announced today by Charlie Andrews, executive vice president, Live Action and Unscripted, Disney Branded Television, to whom she will report. In her new role, Boyd will oversee the scripted series development team and creatively supervise the production of scripted series pilots for Disney+ and Disney Channel with a focus on building out DBT's multicam strategy along with global Disney+ tentpoles.

"We are beyond excited to welcome Jenna to Disney Branded Television and feel so lucky to have her joining the team," said Andrews. "She is a passionate and skilled executive with tremendous vision and an impressive track record of developing hit shows for kids, teens and families. Her extensive expertise creating breakout series will be instrumental in identifying and creating big, immersive worlds, as well as new series filled with the comedy, music and Disney magic our audiences love."

"Disney Branded Television has a powerful legacy of creating some of the most iconic kids' shows of all time, and I'm honored to become part of that legacy of bringing joy to generations of kids and families," said Boyd. "I look forward to working with Charlie and the outstanding creative team led by Ayo Davis as we continue to build our slate of innovative scripted series that help create lifelong Disney fans."

Most recently, Boyd oversaw her own production company, Field Day Entertainment, and partnered with The Cartel - where she also served as a manager - to develop a roster of talent and create kids, family and animation content for broadcasters and streamers around the world. Prior to launching Field Day Entertainment, Boyd was director of Kids & Family Series at Netflix, where she built and oversaw the company's original animation and live-action series slate and creative team focused on kids and family content, including "Alexa & Katie," "Julie and the Phantoms" and "The Baby-Sitters Club" adaptation, which won a 2022 Children's & Family Emmy(R) Award for Outstanding Children's or Family Viewing Series. Boyd held prior roles as chief content officer at GoldieBlox and senior vice president of Animation Development at Nickelodeon, where she first began her career in series development working on "Avatar: The Last Airbender."

Boyd received her undergraduate degree in communications from Ohio University and was honored in Variety's annual Young Hollywood Impact Report in 2019.
