GOOD LAWYER, THE (ABC) - Bethlehem Million will star opposite Kennedy McMann and Felicity Huffman in the proposed "The Good Doctor" spin-off as Abbie: "Compassionate, practical and a voice of reason, Abbie is Joni's (McMann) slightly older sister, as well as her biggest cheerleader, roommate and best friend. These two share the bond of siblings who survived a less than ideal childhood together. Huffman plays Janet, a partner at the law firm where Joni works." (Deadline.com)
HOW I MET YOUR FATHER (Hulu) - Meaghan Rath will recur on the show's sophomore run as Parker, "a co-worker of Jesse (Christopher Lowell)." (Deadline.com)
MICHAELA! (Syndication, New!) - Recognized news anchor, host and personality Michaela Pereira will topline a new syndicated talk show from PPI Releasing. "I want the show to be centered around the human experience and the universal truths for all of us. I want to capitalize on bringing stuff that is relatable to everyone. And I look forward to having some plain old fun. I love to laugh and I love to make people laugh. And there is room to have some sunshine and some fun in the show as well," Pereira told the publication. (Forbes.com)
PALACE, THE (HBO) - Martha Plimpton has been cast in the Kate Winslet-led limited series, which has also added Jessica Hobbs as a director/co-executive producer. No character details were given. (Deadline.com)
UNRULY (HBO) - Writer Rodney Barnes and director Melina Matsoukas have both signed onto the Mahershala Ali-led limited series about boxing legend Jack Johnson. Khaliah Neal is likewise on board to executive produce. They succeed previously attached writer Dominique Morisseau. The project was first set up in 2013 with Beau Willimon set to pen the script. UNTITLED JOY BLAKE PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Joy Blake has landed a new drama at the network about "a female FBI agent suffering a bad case of career burnout is sent to train a team of ambitious, determined rookies in what it takes to go deep undercover." The Nacelle Company's Matt Ochacher, Brian Volk-Weiss and Michael Pelmont will also executive produce with Phil Donlon for FOX Entertainment. Former FBI agents Scott Payne and Melissa Fortunato serve as consulting producers. (Deadline.com)
