AGATHA: COVEN OF CHAOS (Disney+) - Ali Ahn and Maria Dizzia are the latest additions to the Marvel Studios series in unspecified roles. (Deadline.com)
ANSWERS, THE (FX, New!) - Writer Kit Steinkellner and director Gillian Robespierre have scored a pilot order from the cable channel for a drama based on Catherine Lacey's novel "set in the near future, where a heartbroken young woman joins an enigmatic experiment that promises to hack love, but after moving into an idyllic, secluded location with her fellow female participants, she and the other women start questioning what's really happening in the experiment, and why they've all been tasked with dating the same mysterious man." Danny Strong, Darren Aronofsky, Mandy Safavi, Ari Handel and Elizabeth Gesas are also among the executive producers for Danny Strong Productions, Protozoa Pictures and 20th Television. (Deadline.com)
CARVER LAW (CBS, New!) - Aaron Carew has set up a potential drama at the Eye which "follows a charismatic bachelor and his judicious legal savant twin sister clash as they take on celebrity clients and high-profile social injustices across Los Angeles through their family's historic, black-owned law firm." Martin Lawrence, Rae Proctor, Stacy Lyles, Rob Lawrence, Derrick Johnson, Sheila Ducksworth and Leon Russell are also among the executive producers for CBS Studios. The project is part of a production partnership with the NAACP. (Deadline.com)
CROWN OF WISHES, A (Disney+, New!) - Avantika is attached to star and executive produce a live-action YA series based on the second book in Roshani Chokshi's bestselling Star-Touched Queen duology: "A Crown of Wishes is a fantasy series rooted in Hindu mythology. The novel centers on Princess Gauri (Avantika), who is imprisoned after a failed siege against her malevolent brother, the King of Bharata. When Gauri is exiled from her kingdom, she reluctantly teams up with Vikram, an untrustworthy prince from a rival neighboring land, to enter the Tournament of Wishes. One wish will be granted to the winner, and though Princess Gauri and Prince Vikram have differing agendas, they will be forced into an uneasy alliance - and unexpected romance - while saving both their kingdoms." Zanne Devine of Montana North Media will also executive produce with Raj Raghavan of ColorCreative as a co-executive producer and Jessica Sonnefeld Jolles as a co-producer. (Deadline.com)

GUARD (CBS, New!) - Aaron Carew has likewise sold a second drama to the network which "follows a squad of citizen-soldiers for the LA National Guard takes on heart-pounding crises beyond the scope of standard first responders or law enforcement." Franklin Entertainment's DeVon Franklin will likewise executive produce for CBS Studios. (Deadline.com)
MOORE & MORE (ABC, New!) - Lauren Ashley Smith has sold a single-camera comedy to the Alphabet which "follows a close-knit group of mostly-gay sisters who have a familial identity crisis when the lone bi sister brings her male fiancé into the family." Two Shakes Entertainment's Damon Wayans Jr. and Kameron Tarlow will also executive produce for CBS Studios. (Deadline.com)
OTHER BLACK GIRL, THE (Hulu) - Bellamy Young and Eric McCormack have both signed onto the upcoming drama series. McCormack will portray Richard Wagner, "the founder and editor-in-chief of Wagner Books." And Young will play Vera Parini, "a Hampton's WASP who is one of the most exalted editors at Wagner Books. She is Nella's boss, demanding excellence from her team for her authors who she takes meticulous care of all the time." (Deadline.com)
