LAST THING HE TOLD ME, THE (Apple TV+) - Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is set as the male lead opposite Jennifer Garner in the limited series, which "follows Hannah (Garner), a woman who forms an unexpected relationship with her sixteen-year-old stepdaughter (Angourie Rice) while searching for the truth about why her husband, Owen (Coster-Waldau), has mysteriously disappeared." (Deadline.com)
PRINCE OF TIDES, THE (Apple TV+) - The streamer is developing a TV take on the 1991 Barbra Streisand-fronted film, which "tells the story of a New York psychiatrist (Streisand) who is treating Sally (Blythe Danner), an emotionally scarred woman who finds it helpful to discuss her South Carolina family's troubled history with her twin brother (Nick Nolte). He and the psychiatrist find themselves drawn together by their equally turbulent pasts, and they form an alliance that ultimately leads to romance." Writer/director Tate Taylor is spearheading the project for Sony Pictures Television. Back in 2010, ABC took a stab at bringing Pat Conroy's 1986 novel to the small screen with Bob Brush and Mel Harris among the auspices. (Deadline.com)
SAVED BY THE BELL (Peacock) - The streamer has canceled its reboot series after two seasons. "We are so proud to have been the home of the next iteration of Saved by the Bell for both new and OG fans. Saved by the Bell has been a cultural mainstay for more than 30 years and the new series, led by Tracey Wigfield's superfan enthusiasm and signature witty humor, seamlessly continued the show's legacy, all while allowing more audiences to feel seen. We're grateful to Tracey, Franco Bario, our partners at UTV, the beloved cast, and the fans who have continued to champion one of the most iconic shows of all time," the network said in a statement. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED BOEING 737 MAX PROJECT (Amazon, New!) - Emmy winner Jeremy Strong is attached to star in a limited series for Amazon Studios and Plan B "described as an examination of the events surrounding the Boeing 737 Max. Chris Terrio is penning the project with Strong, Karim Amer and Jehane Noujaim also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED RONNY CHIENG PROJECT (Hulu, New!) - Ronny Chieng is attached to play the new GM of the Brooklyn Nets in a proposed comedy at the streamer "inspired [by] (but not about) real-life Nets owner Joe Tsai."
