ASSASSIN'S CREED (Netflix) - Jeb Stuart is set to pen the upcoming video game-turned-TV series. Ubisoft Film & Television's Jason Altman and Danielle Kreinik also serve as executive producers. (Variety.com)
BREATHE (Netflix) - Jeff Wilbusch will star opposite Melissa Barrera in the upcoming drama as Danny, "Liv's love interest. Danny is a lawyer at Liv's firm with whom she has a one-night stand before they begin an on again, off again relationship." (Variety.com)
DANGEROUS MOMS (NBC) - Dascha Polanco has been cast in the Shanola Hampton-led drama pilot as Pia, "the impeccable nemesis of Monique (Hampton). Pia is the No. 1 salesperson for the state-of-the-art TurboThunder3000 food processor and a popular mommy blogger. She also is the landlord of a few apartment buildings in the community, which she hopes to gentrify." (Deadline.com)
FIRST LADY, THE (Showtime) - The upcoming anthology series has cast Rosalind Chao as Tina Tchen, "a brilliant lawyer known for her strategy and wit, who was Chief of Staff to the First Lady Michelle Obama and served as Executive Director for the Council on Women and Girls"; Michael Potts as Fraser Robinson III, "the father of Michelle Obama"; and Donna Lynne Champlin as Melissa "Mel" Winter, "a democratic political aide who was Michelle Obama's first hire during Barack Obama's presidential campaign and continues to serve as her trusted Chief of Staff," all recurring roles. Additionally, Paul Wilson will guest as Richard Nixon, "the 37th president of the United States and the only president to resign from the office, following the Watergate scandal." (Deadline.com)

JOE PICKETT (Spectrum) - Leah Gibson and Aadila Dosani have landed recurring roles on the C.J. Box adaptation as Jeannie Keeley, "a rough around the edges mother"; and Cricket, "a police dispatcher and big-time conspiracy buff," respectively. (Deadline.com)
LOPEZ VS. LOPEZ (NBC, New!) - Comedian George Lopez and daughter Mayan Lopez are attached to star in a multi-camera comedy for the network billed as "a working-class family comedy about dysfunction, reconnection and all the pain and joy in between." Co-executive producer Debby Wolfe is penning the project, which has put pilot commitment, with Mi Vida Loba's George Lopez, Mohawk Productions' Bruce Helford and 3 Arts Entertainment's Michael Rotenberg and Katie Newman executive producing for Universal Television. Mayan Lopez will also receive a producing credit. (Deadline.com)
MANIFEST (NBC) - Creator Jeff Rake took to Twitter with the news NBC has pulled the plug on the series after three seasons. Adding, "Hoping to find a new home. You the fans deserve an ending to your story." (@jeff_rake)
MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL, THE (Amazon) - Jackie Hoffman and Allison Guinn are the latest to score top secret roles on the series' upcoming fourth season. (Deadline.com)
PERFECT STRANGERS (HBO Max) - Robin Thede and London Hughes are attached to star in a proposed reboot of the 1980s sitcom starring Mark Linn-Baker and Bronson Pinchot, which "follow perfect strangers, Deja, played by Thede, and Poppy, played by Hughes, who unexpectedly discover they are half-sisters when they both inherit a one-bedroom apartment above a trap yoga studio in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Polar opposites, they must learn how to live and work together." Thede will also pen the multi-camera project, which has a script commitment. Robert L. Boyett will also executive produce for Thede's Warner Bros. Television-based For Better or Words. (Deadline.com)
WATCHER, THE (Netflix, New!) - Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale are slated to star in a new limited series for the streamer which "follows a married couple (Watts, Cannavale) whose move into their dream home is being threatened by terrifying letters from a stalker, signed 'The Watcher.'" Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan are behind the project, inspired by the infamous "Watcher" house in New Jersey, with Eric Newman, Bryan Unkeless, Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman also among the executive producers. Filming is slated to begin this fall. (Deadline.com)
