ACTS OF CRIME/BLACK DON'T CRACK/BUCKTOWN (ABC) - The Alphabet has passed on said scripted projects. Sam Esmail has behind crime procedural "Acts of Crime"; while Sherri Shepherd, Essence Atkins and Tisha Campbell toplined comedy "Black Don't Crack"; and Jane Lynch and Shannon Woodward were among those featured in fellow multi-camera entry "Bucktown." BLACK MONDAY (Showtime) - Sam Asghari will recur on the new season as Giancarlo, "a super sexy model who works for Pfaffashions." (Deadline.com)
CLARICE/SEAL TEAM (CBS) - Both dramas may reportedly shift to sibling Paramount+ should they return for the 2021-2022 season. It's understood "SEAL Team" would air "a few episodes" of the fifth season on CBS before transitioning the streamer while "Clarice" would make the move at the start of a proposed second season. (Variety.com)
CLUELESS (Peacock) - The streamer has passed on its proposed mystery reboot of the 1995 cult film from writers Jordan Reddout and Gus Hickey. (THR.com)
GAME (REBOOT SERIES), THE (Paramount+) - Devon Greggory has signed a multi-year overall deal with CBS Studios. The pact will cover his duties on the reboot series as well as any future development via his The Inphiniti Company banner. (Deadline.com)
GOOD SAM (CBS) - The long-in-the-works Sophia Bush-led drama has been ordered to series, about a talented yet stifled surgeon, who embraces her leadership role after her renowned and pompous boss falls into a coma. When he awakens and wants to resume surgery, however, it falls to her to supervise this overbearing blowhard who never acknowledged her talents - and also happens to be her father. Jason Isaacs, Edwin Hodge, Skye P. Marshall, Michael Stahl-David, Davi Santos, Omar Maskati and Wendy Crewson also star in the CBS Studios-based project, with writer Katie Wech, director Tamra Davis, Jennie Snyder Urman and Joanna Klein among the auspices. HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL WITHOUT HURTING MEN'S FEELINGS/WAYS & MEANS/WELCOME TO GEORGIA (CBS) - The Eye has passed on all three scripted pilots. Alice Lee, Amy Landecker and Natalie Morales starred in the former, a comedy based on Sarah Cooper's book of the same name; while Patrick Dempsey toplined political drama "Ways & Means"; and Elizabeth Hurley, Hannah Simone and Taran Killam were featured in the multi-camera comedy "Welcome to Georgia." JOE EXOTIC (Peacock) - Brian Van Holt has been cast in the series as John Reinke, "the zoo manager at Joe's zoo, a loyal worker and friend until things go too far." (Variety.com)
NATIONAL PARKS/TRIAGE (ABC) - The network is keeping both drama pilots under consideration for midseason. Medical drama "Triage" was shot off-cycle while the Kevin Costner-produced "National Parks Investigation" was filmed but not finished in time for the upfronts. (Deadline.com)
SMALLWOOD (CBS) - The Pete Holmes-led comedy, based on the life of professional bowler Tom Smallwood, has been ordered to series. Chi McBride and Katie Lowes also starred in the multi-camera project, from CBS Studios, writer Mark Gross, director Mark Cendrowski, David Hollander and Brian D'Arcy James. (Deadline.com)
WHITE HOUSE PLUMBERS, THE (HBO) - The Watergate drama, about E. Howard Hunt (Woody Harrelson) and G. Gordon Liddy (Justin Theroux), has cast Nelson Ascencio as Virgilio "Villo" Gonzalez, "a hapless Miami-based CIA-trained locksmith who never seems to have the right set of tools"; Gary Cole as Mark Felt, "the incorruptible deputy director of the FBI"; Toby Huss as James McCord, "the socially awkward head of security for the Committee to Re-Elect the President"; Zoe Levin as Lisa Hunt, "E.
