ALL RISE (CBS) - Creator Greg Spottiswood has been terminated by producer Warner Bros. Television following "an investigation into allegations of unprofessional conduct in the series' writers room, including the use of offensive and racially insensitive language." "Warner Bros. Television has relieved All Rise executive producer Greg Spottiswood of his duties, effective immediately," the studio said in a statement. "Executive producer Dee Harris-Lawrence will continue to serve as showrunner of the series, working closely with fellow executive producers Michael M. Robin and Len Goldstein. We remain committed, at all times, to providing a safe and inclusive working environment on our productions and for all employees." (Deadline.com)

LONG SLOW EXHALE (Spectrum) - The Rose Rollins/Josh Lucas-led drama has cast Lyriq Bent as Garrett, "J.C.'s loving husband, father of their two sons and hard-working real estate developer"; Shalini Bathina as Emily, "the Associate Head Coach on the Clayton Hall Cougars"; Ian Harding as Eddie Hagen (replacing Jeff Schine, who has exited due to scheduling issues), "the Assistant Coach of the Clayton Hall Cougars"; Samantha Bartow as Shannon, "the star three-pointer on the Clayton Hall Cougars"; Brent Sexton as Arlin, "a former Atlanta police officer"; Tony Gonzalez as Davon, "Corrine's father and former professional football player and Clayton Hall superstar"; Gabrielle Byndloss as Vivian, "J.C.'s assistant at the Drake Athletic Facility"; and Enajite Esegine, Brittney Elena, Jazmine Stewart, Isabella Star LaBlanc, Carmen Flood and Erin Croom as "basketball players on the Clayton Hall Cougars." NATIONAL TREASURE (Disney+) - The streamer has given its proposed TV series take on the feature film franchise a 10-episode order. Writers Marianne and Cormac Wibberley will be joined by director Mira Nair and producer Jerry Bruckheimer on the project, a reimagining of the concept which "explores the timely issues of identity, community, historical authorship and patriotism, told from the point of view of Jess Morales, a twenty-year-old DREAMer who, with her diverse group of friends, sets off on the adventure of a lifetime to uncover her mysterious family history and recover lost treasure." ABC Signature and Jerry Bruckheimer Television are producing. (Deadline.com)
SHANTARAM (Apple TV+) - Alexander Siddig has been tapped to star opposite Charlie Hunnam in the upcoming drama as Khader Khan, "the revered kingpin of Bombay's underworld who acts as a surrogate father to Lin." (Deadline.com)
TRULY LIKE LIGHTNING (Showtime, New!) - David Duchovny is attached to star in a small screen take of his recently published novel at the pay channel, in which "the unplugged, off-the-grid, almost biblical desert lives of former Hollywood stuntman, Bronson Powers (Duchovny) and his 3 wives and 10 children is upended when a ruthless real estate developer stumbles upon his thousands of acres in Joshua Tree and tries to force him off his land and return his family to the temptations and modernity of 21st century America." Duchovny will also write the proposed adaptation with Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz, the latter duo of which would direct should it move forward. All three will executive produce. (Deadline.com)
WONDER YEARS, THE (ABC) - Milan Ray, Julian Lerner and Amari O'Neil are the latest cast in the reboot series pilot. Ray is set as Keisa Clemmons, "the apple of Dean's eye. She's confident, smart, self-possessed and is not afraid to speak her mind and doesn't take any guff from anyone." Lerner plays Brad Hitman, "a smart, good-natured kid with a sense of humor." And rounds out the group as Cory Long, "who had everything figured out when he hit puberty on the early side." (Deadline.com)
