Tom Hardy To Star In And Produce "Havoc" From Gareth Evans For Netflix
Evans Forms Creative Partnership with Netflix
Gareth Evans has signed an exclusive deal with Netflix to produce and direct films for the studio for the next several years. Havoc will be the first feature under the new creative partnership.

Logline: After a drug deal gone wrong, a bruised detective must fight his way through a criminal underworld to rescue a politician's estranged son, while unraveling a deep web of corruption and conspiracy that ensnares his entire city.
Evans is a multi-award winning Welsh film director, screenwriter, editor, and action choreographer. He is best known for his Indonesian action-crime films Merantau, The Raid and The Raid 2 which brought the Indonesian martial art of Pencak Silat into world cinema. He has previously collaborated with Netflix, XYZ and Severn Screen on the 2018 horror/thriller Apostle starring Dan Stevens, Michael Sheen and Kristine Froseth.
Havoc continues Netflix and XYZ's relationship which also includes previous features iBoy, ARQ, Bushwick, I Don't Feel At Home in this World Anymore, Mercy, and The Night Comes For Us.
Gareth Evans Bio:
Gareth Evans is a multi-award winning Welsh film director, screenwriter, editor, and action choreographer.
His early films Merantau, and The Raid 1 & 2 brought the Indonesian martial art of Pencak Silat into world cinema. Following his return to the UK from Indonesia, Apostle, a British folk-horror starring Dan Stevens, Michael Sheen and Lucy Boynton was shot entirely in Wales and released on Netflix in 2018.
Gareth and long-time collaborator Matt Flannery have since co-created the TV series "Gangs of London" for Sky Atlantic and AMC on which Ed Talfan served as Producer for the critically acclaimed Fifth Episode. The show was first broadcast in the UK in April 2020, followed by the US in October 2020.
