FOX SPORTS ANNOUNCES THE SPRING LEAGUE BROADCAST TEAM
Play-by-Play Announcer Alex Faust Joined By Analyst Jordan Palmer
TSL Debuts Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 8:00 PM ET on FS1
Los Angeles - Today, FOX Sports announced the broadcast teams for The Spring League on FS1. Play-by-play announcer Alex Faust is joined by analyst Jordan Palmer for the 2020 TSL season. The duo is joined in the booth by FOX Sports' lead college football analyst Joel Klatt for Week 1 on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 8:00 PM ET on FS1.
A standout on the gridiron, Palmer played college football at University of Texas at El Paso before being drafted by the Washington Redskins in the sixth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He spent seven years in the NFL before transitioning into the coaching business. Palmer is one of the top QB "gurus" for NFL prospects, with recent trainees including Joe Burrow, DeShaun Watson, Sam Darnold, and Josh Allen. Palmer has previously served as a college football analyst for FOX Sports, in addition to studio analyst and co-host roles on Stadium and SiriusXM, respectively.
Faust serves as the lead television play-by-play announcer of the Los Angeles Kings, a role he has held since 2017. He also contributes to play-by-play duties across NHL on NBC, as well as on the Tennis Channel. Since 2015 he has worked as a college football and basketball play-by-play announcer for FOX Sports. A graduate of Northeastern University, Faust cut his teeth on the NCAA circuit before serving as a play-by-play announcer for the American Hockey League and Minor League Baseball.
TSL's 2020 fall season features six teams, competing in a 12-game format spanning four weeks from the Alamodome in San Antonio beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 8:00 PM ET. The season culminates in a championship matchup the week of Monday, Nov. 23, exact date and time to be announced at a later date.
