9-1-1: LONE STAR (FOX) - Derek Webster will recur on the show's sophomore run as Charles Vega, "the husband of Paramedic Captain Tommy Vega, portrayed by new series regular Gina Torres. The very 2020-relatable Charles Vega character is a restauranteur whose business is affected by the pandemic, so he becomes a stay-at-home dad while his essential worker wife goes to work." BIG SKY (ABC) - The newcomer has tapped Brooke Smith, Jeffrey Joseph, Gage Marsh and Gabriel Jacob-Cross for recurring roles. Smith is set to play Merrilee Legarski, "Rick's (John Carroll Lynch) wife and mother of their two children"; with Joseph as "former military soldier Jospeh Dewell and father of detective Cassie Dewell (Kylie Bunbury)"; Marsh as Justin Hoyt; and Jacob-Cross as Kai Dewell, "Cassie's son." FBI: MOST WANTED (CBS) - Amy Carlson and Terry O'Quinn are both slated to recur on the series. She'll play Jackie Ward, "a veteran bounty hunter who has crossed paths with Jess before. She is a force of nature, profane, witty, good at her job but plays by her own rules. A thorn in the team's side." And he's set as Byron Lacroix, "divorced father of Jess (Julian McMahon). Byron is from New Orleans, and he and Jess have a troubled past. Byron has a big personality and a gambling addiction, and he shows up at Jess's house with his new, much younger girlfriend in an attempt to try to reconcile with his son." (Deadline.com)
MASTERS OF THE AIR (Apple TV+) - Cary Joji Fukunaga has signed on to helm the first three episodes of the World War II limited series. (Deadline.com)
ON THE VERGE (Netflix) - J.R. Bourne is bound for the upcoming series as Adam, "described as a free-spirit Venice hipster who shares an instant attraction to Elisabeth Shue's Anne." (Deadline.com)
SUPERNATURAL (The CW) - Co-star Jensen Ackles and his wife Danneel have signed a multi-year overall deal with Warner Bros. Television to launch their own production company, Chaos Machine Productions. There they'll develop new series projects on an exclusive basis. (Deadline.com)
TRIAGE (ABC) - Andrew Richardson is the latest bound for the medical drama pilot as Kieran Westcott, "who is married to Dr. Finley Briar (Parisa Fitz-Henley). He's a passionate and kindhearted native Brit who works as a beat cop for the NYPD, and later becomes a detective." (Deadline.com)
VIKINGS: VALHALLA (Netflix) - Filming on the spin-off series was temporarily suspended on Monday and Tuesday "in Co Wicklow after close to a dozen crew and cast members tested positive for coronavirus." It's understood subsequent testing revealed said results as "false positives" and production was cleared to resume Wednesday. 24 episodes are slated to be completed with a principal cast that includes Yvonne Mai as Merin and Bill Murphy as Odgar.
