ALL RISE (CBS) - Five writers from the show's original staff of seven - including the three highest-ranking writers of color - have exited the series over disagreements with showrunner Greg Spottiswood, about "how the program handled race and gender." (NYTimes.com)
DANCING WITH THE STARS (ABC) - Incoming host Tyra Banks has signed a first-look deal with ABC Signature. The pact gives the company first crack at her Bankable Productions banner's output. (Deadline.com)
HITMEN (Peacock) - The streaming service has renewed the recently launched series for a second season. (Variety.com)
HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL WITHOUT HURTING MEN'S FEELINGS (CBS, New!) - Comedian Sarah Cooper has sold a small screen take on her book of the same name, which "revolves around three women at different stages in their careers at a male-dominated company who help one another navigate modern gender politics in their careers and in their personal lives." CBS Television Studios is behind the project, which has a penalty attached, with Cooper and Cindy Chupack penning the script and executive producing alongside Nina Tassler, Denise Di Novi and Joan Boorstein of PatMa Productions. (Deadline.com)
MASKED SINGER, THE (FOX) - Production has resumed on the show's fourth season at Red Studios in Hollywood "with rigorous health and safety protocols in place." In the new season, "viewers at home will have a chance to vote on their favorite performances as part of a virtual audience. The votes, as to which costumed singer they would like to see again, will help determine who goes through." (Deadline.com)
MISS NG (HBO Max, New!) - Carlos Portugal has sold a one-hour mystery drama to the streaming service "set in the small town of Nuevo Guerrero, where nothing is more important than the annual Miss Nuevo Guerrero beauty pageant. But when last year's winner goes missing, her former best friend, her arch-rival and her half-sister all enter the upcoming pageant. In doing so, they risk going missing themselves and exposing the town's dark secrets." Charles D. King and Marta Fernandez of Macro Television Studios will also executive produce for UCP. (Variety.com)
SOUTHERN CHARM (Bravo) - Four episodes of the series have been removed from video-on-demand services "as part of a review the network is doing to flag potentially offensive content." It's understood all four will return with one being edited to remove a scene set at a plantation. (Variety.com)
TEMPTATION ISLAND (USA) - Production on the reality series has been postponed by the Maui County Film Office. The revival's third season had been expected to film on the island through to mid-October with the cast and crew set to be in a quarantine bubble on the location at the Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort. (Deadline.com)
TOSH.0 (Comedy Central) - The Daniel Tosh-hosted series will sign off after its upcoming 10-episode 12th season, premiering September 15. The news, the latest from ViacomCBS' Entertainment & Youth Group's reevaluation of its programming strategies, comes despite a massive four-season renewal in January. It's understood the series will be shopped elsewhere. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED MELISSA LONDON HILFERS PROJECT (FOX) - The network plans to open a writers' room for the series with an eye towards a potential straight-to-series order. The search is underway for a showrunner to work alongside fellow executive producers Melissa London Hilfers, Gail Berman, Hend Baghdady and leading country music manager Jason Owen. (Deadline.com)
