A freelance journalist, Sam and her sous chef husband, Ryan, spend so much time trying to make ends meet that they barely have time for each other, so when she inherits a massive country estate, she's eager to move there, rent free. A great listener and a genuinely good person, Sam strives to help the ghosts, even while being driven a bit crazy by their constant clamoring for her attention." (Deadline.com)

NCIS (CBS) - Three-time Emmy winner Christopher Lloyd will drop by the veteran drama as Joe Smith, "a 95-year-old former Navy sailor who served on the USS Arizona when it was attacked at Pearl Harbor in 1941. Determined to have his ashes laid to rest with his fellow sailors when he dies, the "sharp, spry and unapologetic curmudgeon" becomes the focus of an investigation and confounds Gibbs (played by Mark Harmon) and the entire team, who are not sure if they can believe him." (TVLine.com)
PARENTING WITHOUT BORDERS (Disney+, New!) - Jessica Alba is slated to front a new documentary travel series for the streaming service which "will follow Alba, an actress, producer, entrepreneur and mother of three, as she immerses herself with families around the world, exploring the parenting beliefs and practices shaping families today." (Deadline.com)

THIS COUNTRY (FOX) - Chelsea Holmes, Sam Straley, Taylor Ortega and Krystal Smith are set to star alongside Seann William Scott in the single-camera comedy pilot. Holmes will play Kelly, "an outwardly tough young adult who's actually a softie"; with Straley as Shrub, "Kelly's cousin and best friend who has a soul of an artist"; Ortega as Nadine, "Shrub and Kelly's old high school classmate who is beautiful, successful and married to Kelly's old crush, Dylan"; and Smith as Big Mandy, "a menacing town presence who loves tattoos and her two dogs."
