BATWOMAN (The CW) - Kayla Ewell will drop by the show's February 23 episode as DC Comics villain Nocturna, "the alluring and seductive villain [that] preys on the beautiful people of Gotham to sustain her need for human blood caused by a rare disease." (EW.com)
DAISY JONES & THE SIX (Amazon) - Sam Claflin has signed onto the Riley Keough-led series, based on Taylor Jenkins Reid's novel of the same title. He'll play Billy Dunne, "the band's charismatic frontman. His increasingly complicated feelings for bandmate and songwriting partner Daisy (Keough) threaten to upend every facet of his life." (THR.com)
GOOD SAM (CBS) - Katie Wech's drama - about a talented yet stifled surgeon who embraces her leadership role after her renowned and pompous boss falls into a coma - is the latest to score a pilot order from the Eye. Jennie Snyder Urman and Joanna Klein of Sutton St. Productions are also executive producing for CBS Television Studios. (Deadline.com)
OUT THE DOOR (CBS) - Evan Katz's drama is likewise heading to pilot at the network. In the project, upon learning that his impending retirement is being pushed off by several years, an LAPD detective who just wants his pension so he can go off and live the good life decides to do everything in his power to get fired, but his bad behavior only leads to surprising success at solving cases. Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and KristieAnne Reed of Jerry Bruckheimer Television will also executive produce for CBS Television Studios. (Deadline.com)
THIRTYSOMETHING(ELSE) (ABC) - Chris Wood is the first to be cast in the revival series pilot as Leo Steadman, "Hope and Michael's son and Janey's brother. His talent and grand ideas are tripped up by his lack of focus and follow-through." (Deadline.com)
TREE IS KNOWN BY ITS FRUIT, A (FX, New!) - Minnie Driver is developing a new dramedy at the cable channel about "a West Texas family who own and run a pecan empire." The project, which may star Driver, is based on the Texas Monthly article of the same name.
