ALL AMERICAN (The CW) - Erica Peeples will recur on the current season as " a mysterious character moving back to South L.A." (Deadline.com)
BLOOD RELATIVE (FOX, New!) - The network has issued a cast-contingent pilot order to a new drama which "centers on genetic genealogy, the best new tool in crime scene forensics, and nobody knows it like Louise Kelly. Too bad she's impossible to deal with." Director Phillip Noyce and writers Chris Levinson and James Renner are behind the project, which is inspired by the latter's 2018 article "Beyond the Jungle of Bad: The True Story of Two Women from California Who Are Solving All the Mysteries." Paramount Television, Anonymous Content, 3 Dot Productions and FOX Entertainment will co-produce with Liza Chasin likewise executive producing. (Deadline.com)
DATING AROUND (Netflix) - The streaming service's dating show entry is slated to return later this year with six new episodes shot in New Orleans. (Vulture.com)
DEPUTY (FOX) - Miguel Angel Garcia is the latest to recur on the midseason drama as Wyatt, "the handsome new boyfriend of Maggie (Valeria Jauregui)." (Deadline.com)
DMZ (HBO Max) - Benjamin Bratt has scored a lead role on the DC Comics adaptation as Parco Delgado, "the popular - and deadly - leader of one of the most powerful gangs in the DMZ. He wants to rule the DMZ and will stop at nothing to secure that outcome. Delgado is known as a wildly magnetic, affable and equally influential man." (Deadline.com)
DOCTOR WHO (BBCA) - Ian McElhinney and Steve Toussaint are both bound for the show's two-part season finale, which "see Jodie Whittaker's Doctor come face-to-face again with one of her most dangerous and relentless enemies: The Cybermen." (Deadline.com)
EAST NASTY (Freeform, New!) - Jamie Rosengard has sold a potential drama to the cable channel about "two best friends - one a black, queer singer-songwriter and the other a seemingly tailor-made country musician from a deeply religious family - struggling alongside other musical misfits for a place at the table." 20th Century Fox Television is behind the hour with Karin Gist, Claire Brown, Ginger Sledge and Paula Kay Hornick also among the executive producers. (Deadline.com)
FRIENDS (HBO Max) - The show's much-ballyhooed unscripted reunion special is reportedly back on track with each of the six stars being paid in the $3 million-$4 million range. (Deadline.com)
LUCIFER (Netflix) - Inbar Lavi's Eve was booked a return trip to the series for its final season. (EW.com)
OUTMATCHED (FOX) - Alyson Hannigan and Eddie Kaye Thomas will reunite with their fellow "American Pie" alum Jason Biggs in an upcoming episode as "the helicopter parents of a classmate of Nicole (Ashley Boettcher) and Brian (Connor Kalopsis) at the gifted school." (EW.com)
PILLOW TALK WITH DEMI LOVATO (Quibi, New!) - Demi Lovato is set to host a new talk show for the mobile streaming service "that will feature candid, unfiltered conversations between Lovato and guests - both experts and celebrities - exploring topics such as: activism, body positivity, gender identity, sex, relationships, social media and wellness." The 10-episode series comes from Goodstory Entertainment and SB Projects with Lovato, Scooter Braun, Allison Kaye, Scott Manson, J.D. Roth and Adam Greener executive producing. (Deadline.com)
PIVOTING (FOX) - Liz Astrof's single-camera comedy has received a pilot order from the network. The project comes from Warner Bros. Television, FOX Entertainment and Kapital Entertainment with the latter's Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor also executive producing. Its logline is as follows: "PIVOTING follows three women after the death of their childhood best friend. Faced with the reality that life is short, in desperate attempts to find happiness, they make a series of impulsive, ill-advised and self-indulgent decisions, strengthening their bond proving it's never too late to screw up your life."
WASHINGTON BLACK (Hulu) - Producer The Gotham Group has signed a multi-year first-look deal with Fox 21 Television Studios. The pact gives the studio first crack at the company's output. (Deadline.com)
WORK WIFE (ABC) - The Alphabet has given a pilot order to the comedy, about "the story of a platonic male-female team whose professional success, personal friendship and ability to share deodorant makes their lives work. Set in the world of real estate, Dani and Scott have taken the leap to start their own team. Now feeling the stress of being the boss, they have to rely on the yin-yang of their dynamic more than ever to keep their professional and personal lives afloat." David Windsor and Casey Johnson penned the script to the single-camera project for ABC Studios, which was previously set up in 2018 as multi-camera with Michael Ian Black attached to write. In addition, Todd Holland has signed on to direct and executive produce alongside the duo; Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos and Albert Bianchini for Milojo Productions; and Ryan Seacrest, Nina Wass and Andrea Shay for Ryan Seacrest Productions. (Deadline.com)
Y (FX) - Barry Keoghan is bowing out of the long-in-the-works DC Comics adaptation. He had been set to play the title character, Yorick Brown. Producers will recast the role. (Collider.com)
