AMERICA'S GOT TALENT (NBC) - Sofia Vergara met with producer Fremantle this week about joining the judging panel on the veteran series as part of an overall deal with the company. (Variety.com)
BAD TASTE (NBC, New!) - Justin Shanes has sold a single-camera comedy to the Peacock network "set in the intimate pressure cooker of a restaurant kitchen whose star chef is forced to make an uncomfortable alliance with the newbie female line cook in order to keep pursuing his passion." Matt Hubbard is also on board to executive produce for Universal Television. (Deadline.com)
CARL WEBER'S THE FAMILY BUSINESS (BET) - The cable channel has renewed the series for an expanded 12-episode second season on its streaming platform BET+. (Deadline.com)
CATASTROPHE (Amazon) - Sharon Horgan has signed an exclusive first-look deal with Apple. The pact is separate to the agreement that Sky Studios struck earlier this month with Merman Films, Horgan's production company with Clelia Mountford. (Deadline.com)
CHICAGO MED (NBC) - Jessy Schram will recur on the veteran drama as Hannah Asher, "a brilliant gynecological surgeon with a secret drug addiction. She does her best to pull herself together to be the most impressive and professional doctor she can be - but she's always fighting her demons." (Deadline.com)
FAIRFAX (Amazon, New!) - Matt Hausfater is developing an animated series at the streaming service. No other specifics were given. (Deadline.com)
FLIGHT ATTENDANT, THE (HBO Max) - Audrey Grace Marshall has been cast as Young Cassie, "the younger version of Kaley Cuoco's character," in the upcoming thriller drama series. (Deadline.com)
HOUSEBROKEN (A.K.A. THERAPY DOG) (FOX) - The animated project - billed as "an irreverent comedy that explores human dysfunction and neurosis through a group of neighborhood animals who live in the suburbs" - is heading the series following the production of a pilot presentation. Sharon Horgan, Clea Duvall, Jennifer Crittenden, Gabrielle Allan, Clelia Mountford, Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor are the executive producers for FOX Entertainment while Horgan, Duvall, Lisa Kudrow, Nat Faxon, Will Forte, Tony Hale, Jason Mantzoukas, Sam Richardson, Bresha Webb and Greta Lee are the voice cast. PRINCE, THE (ABC, New!) - Amy B. Harris is set to team with designer Zac Posen for a new drama at the Alphabet in which "when the wunderkind designer jeopardizes everything with his brash, larger than life attitude, the livelihood of his own family and the family he has created within his company are at risk of being destroyed." Harris will pen the script for ABC Studios with Posen and Mandeville Films & Television's David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman and Laurie Zaks also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
SWAT (CBS) - Bailey Chase is bound for the current season in the recurring role of Owen, "an ex-Army Ranger who is in the process of launching a high-end private security firm. He is well-connected and fully-invested and hoping Deacon (Jay Harrington), who is an active S.W.A.T. Sergeant and decorated Police Star recipient, will agree to be part of the team." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED DELANEY & HAUSFATER PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Nicole Delaney and Matt Hausfater have set up a single-camera comedy at the network about "33-year-old writer Niki Davidson and her eccentric co-workers at the hottest wellness brand on the planet run by celebrity guru, Hallie Spencer." Phil Lord and Chris Miller of the Sony Pictures Television-based Lord Miller Productions will also executive produce for FOX Entertainment. (Deadline.com)
VAMPIRE CHRONICLES, THE (Hulu) - The streaming service has passed on its proposed TV take on Anne Rice's famed vampire books from Paramount Television and Anonymous Content. The news comes 10 months after Dee Johnson was named showrunner of the project. Rice now hopes to sell a new package which will include "Mayfair Witches." (Variety.com)
