HIGHER LOYALTY, A (CBSS) - The ever-expanded cast of the James Comey adaptation has added Jonathan Banks as "former National Intelligence Director James Clapper"; Richard Thomas as "former acting Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration Chuck Rosenberg"; and Seann Gallagher as Jim Rybicki, "who served stints in the FBI and Department of Justice and was Comey's chief of staff when the FBI Director was fired by President Donald Trump." (Deadline.com)
KEVIN HART: DON'T F**K THIS UP (Netflix, New!) - Comedian Kevin Hart will give a behind-the-scenes look at his life in an upcoming six-part documentary series for the streaming service. MIDNIGHTERS (The CW, New!) - Scott Westerfeld's book series is once again being eyed for television, this time at The CW. Chris Pozzebon is spearheading the new incarnation, in which "on their 29th birthday, an estranged brother and sister discover they're Midnighters, a chosen few born at the stroke of midnight, with access to a magical 25th hour each day that their kind can use to dramatic, comedic and poignant advantage." Quinn's House's Martin Gero and Alloy Entertainment's Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo will also executive produce for Warner Bros. Television. Previous adaptations has been mounted by Darren Lemke for The WB in 2005, Chad Hodge for NBC in 2009 and Chris Fedak for FOX in 2012. (Deadline.com)

TURN OF THE SCREW (Quibi, New!) - Alexandra McNally has sold a modern take on Henry James's 1898 horror novella to the streaming service which "follows a young Mexican-American nanny who is hired to care for the two children at their summer home on an idyllic island in the Pacific Northwest. It seems like the perfect job, but things take a sinister turn when the nanny begins seeing ghosts and her grip on reality begins to blur." Josh Berman and Chris King of the Sony Pictures Television-based Osprey Productions will also executive produce. The project was previously set up at Freeform in 2018 with the same auspices.
