25 WORDS OR LESS/DISH NATION/DIVORCE COURT (Syndication) - Twentieth Television has scored renewals from the Fox Television Stations for "25 Words or Less" (season 2), "Dish Nation" (season 9) and Divorce Court (season 22), taking all three series through the 2020-21 season. (Deadline.com)
AFFAIR, THE (Showtime) - Co-creator Sarah Treem has inked a multi-year overall deal with Fox 21 Television Studios. (Deadline.com)
AGE OF VICE, THE (FX, New!) - The cable channel and Fox 21 Television Studios have landed the rights to Deepti Kapoor's India mob saga. Color Force's Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson are slated to executive produce the TV incarnation. "The saga is set in New Delhi, focusing around the wealthy, powerful and corrupt Wadia family. There is the young, ambitious, spoiled Sunny; his controlling, ruthless and domineering father Bunty; and the violent, powerful, bloodthirsty Uncle Vicky. Those who grow close to the Wadias find themselves entangled in the web of this family's constant grabs for more power, land, and wealth. Into this cauldron comes Ajay, a boy from a low-caste, born into poverty and sold into servitude. Through circumstance, he finds himself rising through the ranks of the Wadia family's loyalty. He intersects with the son of a crime boss and a young female newspaper reporter who becomes entangled with the two young men." (Deadline.com)
BUNKER, THE (NBC, New!) - Joshua Hale Fialkov has sold a small screen take on his and Joe Infurnari's Oni Press comic book series to the network and Universal Television about "a story of a group of friends who discover a hidden bunker in the woods containing proof that in the future they will be responsible for a global apocalypse. They must decide if they can give up their hopes and dreams in order to save the world or follow their paths and doom us all." CannyLads Productions' Julie Anne Robinson will direct and executive produce with Kelly Pancho also co-executive producing. (Deadline.com)
DUET (ABC, New!) - Austin Winsberg, Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner are set to team for a "Sliding Doors"-esque drama at the Alphabet about Delilah Jones, "who finds herself jumping back and forth between life as a pop icon and an alternate reality where she never left her hometown, got married and had a child and works as a high school music teacher." Lionsgate Television is behind the project, which has a penalty attached, with The Tannenbaum Company's Eric and Kim Tannenbaum and director Richard Shepard likewise executive producing. Jason Wang is a co-executive producer. (THR.com)
HOLLYWOOD/THE POLITICIAN/RATCHED (Netflix) - Executive producer Ryan Murphy has further detailed his upcoming plans for the streaming service. Limited series "Hollywood" is coming out on May 1 while season two of "The Politician" is being targeted for July with the Sarah Paulson-led "Ratched" eyed for September. (Deadline.com)
LOVE AND... (NBC, New!) - Patrick Sean Smith has booked a new project at the network billed as "a unique and emotional drama that explores not just romantic love, but all love around the world through a large ensemble of multi-generational characters." CannyLads Productions' Julie Anne Robinson will direct and executive produce for Universal Television with Kelly Pancho also co-executive producing. (Deadline.com)
MADE FOR LOVE (HBO Max) - Dan Bakkedahl and Augusto Aguilera are the latest additions to the Alissa Nutting adaptation. Bakkedahl will play Herringbone, "head of security at Byron's Gogol Industries, who inconveniently finds himself caught between his allegiance to Byron and his unrequited desire for Hazel." Aguilera then is Liver, "the local bartender who catches Hazel's eye when she stumbles back to her hometown." (Deadline.com)

PARK, THE (NBC, New!) - Mike O'Brien and Shelly Gossman are set to team for a single-camera comedy at the network about "a Midwest couple who move to Hollywood to pursue their dream of making it in the character world at a theme park. Along the way, they find the world extremely competitive but soon realize their co-workers (and competition) become their biggest supporters and family." CannyLads Productions' Julie Anne Robinson will direct and executive produce for Universal Television with Kelly Pancho also co-executive producing. (Deadline.com)
PERIPHERAL, THE (Amazon) - The streaming service is moving forward to series with its small screen take on William Gibson's novel, which "centers on Flynne Fisher, a woman trying to hold together the pieces of her broken family in a forgotten corner of tomorrow's America. Flynne is smart, ambitious, and doomed. She has no future. Until the future comes calling for her." Writer Scott B. Smith and director Vincenzo Natali are behind the project, which is set up at Amazon Studios and Warner Bros. Television with Steven Hoban and Kilter Films' Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy and Athena Wickham also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
POST OFFICE (NBC, New!) - Amy Hubbs has set up a single-camera comedy at the network in which "when a young woman gets a job working with her father and a group of oddball letter carriers, she finds herself learning about sacrifice, friendship, and making connections with those you'd least expect." Universal Television is behind the half-hour with CannyLads Productions' Julie Anne Robinson also directing and executive producing and Kelly Pancho co-executive producing. (Deadline.com)
RUN THE WORLD (Starz) - Stephen Bishop will round out the cast of the comedy pilot as Matthew, "an esteemed professor of African American Studies who has been living with his Ph.D. advisee, Sondi (Corbin Reid), on the sly. The two have an intense sexual relationship, interrupted only by Sondi's insistence on making everything a polemic about race. The father of 6-year-old Amari, Matthew loves the way that Sondi and Amari connect - but he doesn't appreciate when Sondi oversteps when it comes to parenting his daughter." (Deadline.com)
RUN (HBO) - Tamara Podemski has booked a role on the upcoming thriller as Babe, "a soft-spoken police detective with a dry sense of humor. Babe recently has moved to a small town in Colorado and is enjoying the quieter life it affords. She is lonely and would love to meet someone but lacks both confidence and opportunity. Babe is slightly intimidated when she lands her first big case, which offers her the chance to show off her genuinely good police skills and also meet someone who might change her life forever." SEX LIFE (Epix) - The pay channel has commissioned another eight episode season for the documentary series, which "follows sex-positive individuals, couples and groups as they embark on new physically gratifying and emotionally fulfilling sexual adventures." Douglas Ross, Alex Baskin, Anthony B. Sacco, Josh Shader, Tina Gazerro Clapp, Sandy Guthrie, Barry Poznick, Steve Hughes and Sean Kelly are the executive producers for MGM Television and Evolution Media. (Deadline.com)
SLUGFEST (Quibi, New!) - The streaming service has commissioned a documentary series inspired by Reed Tucker's book of the same name, subtitled "Inside the Epic, 50-year Battle Between Marvel and DC," that "will delve into the pitched rivalry between Marvel and DC Comics, the publishers whose combined IP has become a dominant source material for today's film and TV." Don Argott and Sheena M. Joyce are directing the project for Anthony and Joe Russo's AGBO Films with Todd Makurath, Peter Rieveschl, Nick Gilhool and Jen Casey also slated to executive produce. SNAP (FOX, New!) - David Hemingson has sold a new drama to the network about "an honest, earnest loan officer who is pushed to the brink by a sleazy colleague. She SNAPS - a move that will at once put her in peril, liberate her, and bring her to power. She'll find herself in league with a charismatic con artist, and together, they'll weaponize the secrets lurking just below the surface of their wealthy beachside town, only to catch the eye of the local sheriff-who happens to be our hero's brother." Universal Television and FOX Entertainment are behind the project, which has a penalty attached. SOMETIMES I LIE (FOX, New!) - The Sarah Michelle Gellar-led limited series has found a home at the network with a script commitment plus penalty. Robin Swicord is behind the project, which is based on Alice Feeney's novel and stars Gellar as Amber Reynolds, "who is in a coma. She can't remember how she got there, but she knows it wasn't an accident. Terrified and trapped in her own body, she tries to piece together her memories of the last week. With a husband who no longer loves her, a sister hiding a dangerous secret, and an ex-boyfriend who can't let go of her, Amber knows someone is lying - and that her life is still very much in danger. Alternating between her paralyzed present, the week before her accident, and a series of childhood diaries from 20 years ago, this psychological thriller asks: Is something really a lie if you believe it's the truth?" UNTITLED LONDON HUGHES PROJECT (NBC, New!) - British comedian London Hughes is set to star in a single-camera comedy at the network about London Jones (Hughes), "who after getting dumped by her boyfriend in England comes to America to find success, herself and maybe even love." Hughes and Larry Wilmore are co-writing the half-hour, which has a put pilot commitment, for the latter's Universal Television-based Wilmore Films with Candace Rodney as a producer. (Deadline.com)
YOUR HONOR (Showtime) - Lorraine Toussaint, Jimi Stanton and Chet Hanks are the latest bound for the Bryan Cranston-led limited series. Toussaint plays Sarah LeBlanc, "the Chief Justice at the criminal court where Michael Desiato (Cranston) is a judge." Stanton then is Carlo Baxter, "the eldest son of Jimmy Baxter (Michael Stuhlbarg) who is destined to follow in his father's criminal footsteps"; with Hanks as Carlo's best friend, Joey Maldini, "who has criminal plans of his own."
