AMERICAN GODS (Starz) - Marilyn Manson is bound for the show's third season as "blood-thirsty Johan Wengren, lead singer of the Viking death metal band Blood Death." (Deadline.com)
ARCHIVED, THE (The CW, New!) - Liz Sczudlo is spearheading a small screen take on V.E. Schwab's book series at the netlet in which "the eldest child in a family of ghost hunters, Bex has trained her entire life for the day she'll take up the mantle of "the chosen one." But when her dad dies and her local-weather-girl sister wakes up with the familial powers instead, these night-and-day sisters will have to figure out how to work together and save the world." Jennie Snyder Urman and Joanna Klein are also on board to executive produce via their CBS Television Studios-based Sutton St. Productions. (Variety.com)
BOB (HEARTS) ABISHOLA (CBS) - Co-creator Gina Yashere - who also guest starred in the pilot as Kemi, Abishola's (Folake Olowofoyeku) best friend - has been named a series regular on the newcomer. (Deadline.com)
COMMITTED (ABC, New!) - Jerome Schwartz and Shannon Goss are set to team for an anthology drama series at the Alphabet "that explores modern life through the lens of contemporary marriage in America." The project is based on iHeartMedia's podcast of the same name hosted by Jo Piazza. Laurie Zaks, Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman of the ABC Studios-based Mandeville Films & Television will executive produce alongside Schwartz, Goss and Piazza. (Deadline.com)
EVERYDAY INSANITY (FOX, New!) - Laura Bensick has booked a potential drama at the network about "three wildly different families who form a "created family" to support each other after their loved ones are diagnosed with mental illnesses." 20th Century Fox Television and FOX Entertainment are behind the project, which has a penalty attached. Ken Olin and Indian Meadows Productions' Sterling K. Brown and Danielle Reardon are also on board to executive produce. (Deadline.com)
FARGO (FX) - Timothy Olyphant has signed onto the show's fourth season in the recurring role of Dick "Deafy" Wickware. No other details were given. (Deadline.com)
FML (ABC, New!) - Katie Wech has landed a new drama at the Alphabet about "five women who share little more than the carpool lane and are thrown together when one of them disappears, an event that brings their own personal crises to light, and forces them to confront the unique and formidable challenges of FML: Female Mid Life." The project comes from Sabrina Wind's newly launched Windpower Entertainment, which recently signed an overall deal with ABC Studios. (Deadline.com)
FUGITIVE, THE (Quibi) - Kiefer Sutherland and Boyd Holbrook have both signed onto the latest incarnation of the franchise. They'll play Clay Bryce and Mike Ferro, respectively. Additionally, Stephen Hopkins has been tapped to direct and executive produce. (Deadline.com)
GOOD GIRLS (NBC) - Charlyne Yi and Jackie Cruz have both been tapped for roles on the show's third season. Yi will play Lucy, "a quirky artist with mildly impaired social skills with whom the trio manipulate to help them with their criminal enterprise." Cruz then is Rhea, "a warm, easygoing dental hygienist and single mom who becomes a new friend to Beth (Christina Hendricks) after they start bonding at the park while watching their kids play." GREY'S ANATOMY (ABC) - Jasmine Guy has booked a return trip to the medical drama as Gemma, "a woman who showed up at the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital emergency room last season, following a freak accident. There, she encountered Dr. Richard Webber (James Pickens, Jr.), with whom she shares a problematic history." (Deadline.com)
OTHER PEOPLE'S PROBLEMS (ABC, New!) - Alison Bennett has booked a new single-camera comedy at the Alphabet about "the unlikely friendship between two HR co-workers: a newly divorced 30-year-old woman and her hard-partying boss, a twice-divorced woman in her 40s." 20th Century Fox Television is behind the project, which has a penalty attached. RICE (ABC, New!) - Zahir McGhee has sold a potential drama to the Alphabet about "a family-owned Harlem restaurant that is rocked when the head chef and patriarch dies of a heart attack, bequeathing the head chef title to his youngest daughter - the one with the least experience of his children." ABC Studios-based Mandeville Films & Television is behind the project with the company's Laurie Zaks, Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman executive producing alongside McGhee and famed chef Marcus Samuelsson. ROOKIE, THE (ABC) - Producer eOne has completed its investigation into former co-star Afton Williamson's claims of sexual harassment and racial discrimination. "As a result of the independent investigation, we have concluded that those identified in Ms. Williamson's allegations did not conduct themselves in an unlawful manner or demonstrate behavior inappropriate for the workplace," the company said in a statement. "It was also concluded that the executive producers, including showrunner Alexi Hawley, addressed matters of which they were made aware promptly and in a fair and reasonable manner." (Deadline.com)
SEAL TEAM (CBS) - Showrunner John Glenn has exited the drama "following an unspecified investigation by producer CBS Television Studios." No other details were given. Fellow executive producer Spencer Hudnut is expected to serve as interim showrunner. (Deadline.com)
SHOWTIME (HBO) - DeVaughn Nixon has been cast in the 1980s Los Angeles Lakers pilot as his dad, Norm Nixon, "a debonair playboy who overcomes insurmountable odds to become the All-Star point guard of the Lakers. He expertly maneuvers the complexities of NBA stardom, until talented young rookie Magic Johnson (Quincy Isaiah) arrives in L.A." (Deadline.com)
THIS IS US (NBC) - Tim Matheson has been cast as Rebecca's (Mandy Moore) father, Dave, in a recurring role on the series. (Deadline.com)
TOKYO VICE (HBO Max) - Alan Poul has joined the upcoming drama as an executive producer. Said addition is the result of an overall deal the director has signed with the show's producer, Endeavor Content. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED KARI LIZER PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Kari Lizer has sold a new multi-camera comedy to the network about "an empty-nester mom who wonders how she ended up alone while her children live their best lives thousands of miles away. Fed up with the unanswered texts and blocked from their Facebook feed, she decides - much to their horror - that her place is with her family. First she inserts herself into their lives, then she becomes an indispensable part of them." The project, which has a pilot production commitment, comes from Sony Pictures Television, home to Lizer's overall deal. (Deadline.com)
