AMERICAN PRINCESS (Lifetime) - The cable channel has pulled the plug on the series after one season, the last of its active scripted series. (THR.com)
CHARMED (The CW) - Jordan Donica has joined the cast of the show's second season as Jordan, "a mysterious law student/amateur boxer that the Vera-Vaughn sisters meet in the new world in which they now find themselves." (Deadline.com)
ELITE (Netflix) - The streaming service has confirmed the series has been renewed for a third season. Season two rolls out next Friday, September 6. (Variety.com)
HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR, THE (Netflix) - Kate Siegel and Annabeth Gish are the latest confirmed for the anthology's second season. (@flanaganfilm)
HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER (ABC) - Marsha Stephanie Blake is bound for the show's final season in a top secret role. (Deadline.com)
HOW TO GET RUN OVER BY A TRUCK (The CW, New!) - Irene Sankoff and David Hein are developing a drama based on Katie McKenna's memoir at the netlet, in which "at age 24, McKenna was run over by an eighteen-wheeler. She survived against all odds when she was taken to the best trauma hospital in New York - the prison hospital at Rikers Island. With security guards at every door and prisoners chained to their beds, it's the last place you'd want to recover, but with the help of her family, irrepressible wit and vivid fantasy life, Katie learns to fight back when life literally crushes her." Ellen DeGeneres and Jeff Kleeman of A Very Good Production are also executive producing for Warner Bros. Television. (Variety.com)
HOW TO MAKE LOVE TO A BLACK WOMAN (Showtime) - Tonya Pinkins, Mario Van Peebles and Amandla Jahava have all landed roles on the Lena Waithe-produced comedy pilot. Van Peebles will play Sam, "a kind stranger who connects with Rashida (Jahava), a young woman confronting an unexpected loss." Pinkins plays Rashida's mother, Florence, "who is keeping a secret from her daughter." (Variety.com)
JEOPARDY!/WHEEL OF FORTUNE (Syndication) - Mike Richards has been tapped to succeed Harry Friedman as showrunner of the series after their upcoming season. (Deadline.com)
MAD ABOUT YOU (Spectrum) - Kecia Lewis will recur on the show's revival as Tonya Franklin-Devanow, "the wife of Mark Devanow (Richard Kind)." (Deadline.com)
THIRD DAY, THE (HBO) - John Dagleish, Emily Watson and Paddy Considine are the latest confirmed cast members of the series. No details were given about their roles. Naomie Harris, Jude Law and Katherine Waterston also star. (Deadline.com)
WATCH, THE (BBC America) - Adam Hugill is the first to be cast in the upcoming drama, based on Sir Terry Pratchett's wildly popular "Discworld" novels. He'll play the naïve but heroic Carrot Ironfoundersson in the project. (Deadline.com)
