CBS NEWS TO BROADCAST LIVE PRESIDENT TRUMP'S SPEECH FROM THE OVAL OFFICE AND THE DEMOCRATIC RESPONSE TONIGHT AT 9:00 PM, ET
CBSN Begins Coverage at 8:30 PM, ET
CBS News will broadcast live President Donald Trump's address from the Oval Office and the Democratic response by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer tonight beginning at 9:00 PM, ET on the CBS Television Network. Coverage on CBSN, CBS News' 24/7 streaming news service, kicks off at 8:30 PM, ET.
CBS EVENING NEWS anchor Jeff Glor will lead tonight's special report from the CBS News Broadcast Center in New York, with reporting and analysis from chief Washington correspondent Major Garrett from the White House and chief congressional correspondent Nancy Cordes from Capitol Hill. Political correspondent Ed O'Keefe will also be contributing from New York.
Glor will also deliver full coverage ahead of the president's speech tonight on the CBS EVENING NEWS (6:30-7:00 PM, ET).
Elaine Quijano will anchor CBSN's special coverage starting at 8:30 PM, ET. Quijano will be joined by a panel of reporters and guests to break down the key issues. CBSN will simulcast the Network's special report, and will continue with live analysis and reactions from Network reporters and guests at 9:30 PM, ET. Additionally, CBSN's nightly political program RED & BLUE (5:00 PM, ET) will feature reports from correspondent Paula Reid at the White House and director of elections and surveys Anthony Salvanto, along with other contributors and guests. CBSN is available at CBSNews.com and on the CBS News app for mobile and connected devices.
CBS Newspath, CBS News' newsgathering organization providing news and information to 200+ affiliates nationwide and to broadcasters around the world, will feature extensive coverage throughout the day leading up to the president's address and the Democratic response. Correspondents Nikole Killion and Natalie Brand will report live from the White House.
CBS News Radio will provide live-anchored coverage of the president's address to the nation and the Democratic response from their headquarters in Washington, D.C. starting at 9:00-9:30 PM, ET. Correspondent Bill Rehkopf anchors our coverage and is joined by White House correspondent Steven Portnoy and political consultant Prof. Leonard Steinhorn. CBS will also provide stations with short-form special report starting at 9:20 PM, ET through 10:50 PM, ET three times an hour.
