Five-Time Emmy Award Winner Alex Duda Named Executive Producer for "The Kelly Clarkson Show"

FIVE-TIME EMMY AWARD WINNER ALEX DUDA NAMED EXECUTIVE PRODUCER FOR "THE KELLY CLARKSON SHOW"

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - Nov. 20, 2018 - Five-time Emmy Award winner Alex Duda has been named executive producer for "The Kelly Clarkson Show," which debuts in national syndication next fall. The announcement was made by Tracie Wilson, Executive Vice President, Creative Affairs, NBCUniversal TV Distribution.

Duda, who has an overall development deal with NBCUniversal, will executive produce the one-hour show, hosted by the Grammy Award-winning Clarkson, in September 2019. Among her many credits, Duda previously served as executive producer of the Emmy-winning series "Steve Harvey" as well as the Emmy-winning program "The Tyra Banks Show."

"Alex was instrumental in developing 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' with us and brings so much talent, daytime TV experience, creativity and heart to this project," Wilson said. "Alex's wide range of producing expertise, combined with her talent of inspiring storytelling, is a perfect complement to Kelly Clarkson's strengths as a talk show host."

"The Kelly Clarkson Show" will use Clarkson's gift of connection to bring viewers a fun, energetic show that breaks with tradition. Each weekday Clarkson will bring together a fascinating guest list of people, from all walks of life, to come hang out together, share remarkable stories and maybe have "a minute and a glass of wine" (as she likes to say). Audiences will experience an hour full of humor, heart, unscripted surprises, celebrity guests and of course, great music.

From Los Angeles, "The Kelly Clarkson Show" is produced and distributed by NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution with Alex Duda serving as executive producer and showrunner. Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock are also executive producers.

It was previously announced that the "The Kelly Clarkson Show" has been sold to the NBC Owned Television Station group. The show will air as the lead-in to "Ellen" on the following NBC-owned television stations: WNBC New York, KNBC Los Angeles, WMAQ Chicago, WCAU Philadelphia, KXAS Dallas-Fort Worth, KNTV San Francisco, WRC Washington DC, WTVJ Miami, KNSD San Diego and WVIT Hartford. The new show will also air in Boston on NBC-owned station WBTS.

Prior to her work with NBCUniversal, Alex Duda worked with EndemolShine North America where she created and executive produced the Style Network's megahit "Jerseylicious," as well as "Chicagolicious," "The Glam Fairy," "Built" and the Oxygen series "Find Me My Man." She developed and piloted projects for FOX, Oxygen, E! and WE through her production company, Story Monster. Duda also partnered with Endemol and NBCUniversal as the executive producer of the Emmy-winning "Steve Harvey" daytime show for its entire run in Chicago. She created and produced the makeover series "Fashion Emergency" and "Model," both of which helped launch the Style Network. She produced numerous original specials and series at E!, including the "Joan Rivers Live from the Red Carpet," "Joan Rivers Fashion Reviews," "Wild on the Riviera," "E! Goes to Cannes," "Hollywood Kids," "Haunted Hollywood," "Behind the Scenes" and the "E! Extreme Close-Up Interview."
