ALL TOGETHER NOW (NBC, New!) - Lesley Wake Webster has set up a potential single-camera comedy at the Peacock about "a rural church choir that gets the gift it never thought it needed when a salty, Ivy League professor becomes its director." Actor Bradley Whitford is attached to executive produce the 20th Century Fox Television-based half-hour (and potentially star as said professor) alongside Jason Winer and Jon Radler of Small Dog Picture Company. (Deadline.com)
AMERIKHANS (CBS, New!) - Farhan Arshad has sold a multi-camera comedy to the Eye about "a young Pakistani-American guy who must make amends with his estranged family when he and his girlfriend take in his cousins and grandfather, turning their previously carefree lives upside down." CBS Television Studios is behind the project with Mark Gross; Comedy Dynamics' Michael Pelmont, Matt Ochacher and Brian Volk-Weiss; and Imagine Television's Brian Grazer, Francie Calfo and Samie Falvey also among the executive producers. (Deadline.com)
BASKETBALL WIVES/LOVE & HIP HOP: HOLLYWOOD (VH1) - The cable channel has taken the original production companies - Eastern TV and Shed Media, respectively - off the reality series, inviting "new producers to come and pitch for these shows as it looks to take them in a new direction." The move won't affect Eastern TV's involvement in fellow "Love & Hip Hop" entries "New York," "Miami" and "Atlanta." (Deadline.com)
BECAUSE KIDS (ABC, New!) - Husband-and-wife Adam Sztykiel and Ellie Knaus are set to team for a new comedy at the Alphabet based on the latter's podcast "Atomic Moms," billed as "a lighthearted yet honest examination of the lives of a married couple with two young children. The show will use the podcast as a framing device to explore the wide range of topics and opinions that modern parents deal with." Sztykiel and Party Over Here's Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone and Becky Sloviter are the executive producers for CBS Television Studios with Knaus serving as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
CROWN, THE (Netflix) - Emerald Fennell has been cast as Camilla Parker Bowles in the upcoming third season. (TVLine.com)
HARLEM HIGH (Freeform, New!) - Sam Laybourne has sold a potential series to the cable channel which "follows the diverse students involved in a Harlem high school's show choir." Mottola Media Company's Tommy Mottola and Overbrook Entertainment's Will Smith, James Lassiter and Jada Pinkett Smith are also executive producing for eOne. (Deadline.com)
MAGIC HOUR (Apple) - Jim Sturgess has signed onto the Hilde Lysiak-inspired drama, about Hilde (Brooklynn Prince), "a young girl who moves from Brooklyn to the small lakeside town her father Matt (Sturgess) left behind. While there, her dogged pursuit of the truth leads her to unearth a cold case that everyone in town, including her own father, tried hard to bury." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED ANISTON & WITHERSPOON PROJECT (Apple) - Steve Carell is set to star alongside Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston in the much-ballyhooed morning show drama series as Mitch Kessler, "a morning show anchor who is struggling to maintain relevance in a changing media landscape." Filming is slated to begin next week in Los Angeles. (Deadline.com)
WILL & GRACE (NBC) - Barrett Foa is the latest set to drop by the new season as "a new love interest for Eric McCormack's lovelorn alter ego. Foa's character, Paul, is a fellow teacher of Will's. But the pair's romance hits a snag when details about Paul's home life put Will in an ethical dilemma." (TVLine.com)
