ARCHIBALD'S NEXT BIG THING (Netflix, New!) - Tony Hale is bringing his children's book with Tony Biaggne and Victor Huckabee to the streaming service as an animated series due in 2019. The show "follows the adventures of Archibald Strutter, a chicken who "yes-ands" his way thru life. Though living in the moment often leads him astray, Archibald always finds his way back home." Hale will executive produce for DreamWorks Animation Television. (Deadline.com)
BIG BOUNCE BATTLE (FOX, New!) - The network is developing a new competition reality series which "features trampoline obstacle courses that contestants have to complete as fast as they can." The project is based on the German series "Big Bounce: Die Trampolin Show" from Endemol Shine North America. Sharon Levy, D.J. Nurre and Michael Heyerman are the executive producers. (Deadline.com)
COUNCIL OF DADS (NBC, New!) - Joan Rater and Tony Phelan have sold a new small screen take on Bruce Feiler's memoir (subtitled "My Daughters, My Illness and the Men Who Could Be Me") to the Peacock, about Scott Perry, "who assembles a unique group of carefully chosen male friends to help his family adjust to a new normal after receiving a potentially terminal diagnosis." The drama is set up at their Universal TV-based Midwest Livestock Productions with Jerry Bruckheimer TV's Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and KristieAnne Reed also executive producing and Feiler and James Oh as producers. FOX previously shot a pilot for a single-camera comedy incarnation of the book in 2011 from writer Peter Tolan and directors Anthony and Joe Russo. (Deadline.com)
DEPUTY (FOX, New!) - Writer Will Beall and director David Ayer are set to team for a new drama at the network about Deputy Bill Hollister, "a career lawman who's very comfortable kicking down doors and utterly lost in a staff meeting. But when the LA County Sheriff drops dead, Bill becomes acting sheriff of Los Angeles County, in charge of 10,000 sworn deputies policing a modern Wild West. The ensemble procedural has the full cooperation of the LA Sheriff's Department." The eOne-based project, which has a penalty attached, will also be executive produced by Cedar Park Entertainment's Chris Long. (Deadline.com)
DOT (AMC, New!) - "Fear the Walking Dead" co-star Colman Domingo is looking to bring his stage play - which "follows a family in fading West Philadelphia, who must confront old secrets in order to face the challenges of their present" - to the small screen at the network. Collider Entertainment's Alisa Tager will also executive produce the potential project. (Deadline.com)
FLIPPING OUT (Bravo) - Jeff Lewis took to social media to reveal his contract with the network has expired, presumably spelling the end of his series after 11 seasons. (@jljefflewis)
GABBY'S DOLLHOUSE (Netflix, New!) - Traci Paige Johnson and Jennifer Twomey are spearheading a new animated series at the streaming service "that unboxes a surprise before jumping into a fantastical animated world full of adorable cat characters that live inside Gabby's dollhouse." DreamWorks Animation Television is behind the project, due in 2020. (Deadline.com)
HER BODY AND OTHER PARTIES (FX, New!) - Gina Welch is developing an anthology series at the cable channel based on Carmen Maria Machado's short story collection billed as "psychologically vivid tales of women's fears and desires on landscapes of horror, fabulism, and wild-haired absurdity." Imagine Television's Brian Grazer, Francie Calfo and Samie Falvey will also executive produce for FX Productions. Machado herself will receive a producing credit. (Deadline.com)
RANGER (CBS, New!) - Jason Hall has sold a small screen take on James Patterson's novel "Texas Ranger" to the Eye, which "centers on a Texas Ranger and his cantankerous father move to South Florida where the Ranger becomes a homicide detective and searches for his brother's killer." The project is set up at CBS TV Studios with T.J. Brady, Rasheed Newson, 101st Street Entertainment's Peter M. Lenkov and James Patterson Entertainment's Patterson, Bill Robinson and Leopoldo Gout likewise executive producing. (Deadline.com)
RHYME TIME TOWN (Netflix, New!) - The streaming service has commissioned a new animated series in which "Daisy the Puppy and Cole the Kitten are ready to guide young children through a colorful and adventurous world filled with nursery rhymes and imaginative play." DreamWorks Animation Television is behind the project, due in 2020. No auspices were given. (Deadline.com)
SIBLINGS (CBS, New!) - David Hornsby and Brian Keith Etheridge are set to team for a multi-camera comedy at the network about "two very different siblings who decide to live together and raise their kids after one of them gets divorced." CBS Television Studios is producing. (Deadline.com)
TRANSPARENT (Amazon) - The much-ballyhooed comedy will wrap its run with a two-hour movie musical to be shot later this year and air on Amazon next fall. (NYTimes.com)
TRUST (NBC, New!) - Joan Rater and Tony Phelan have likewise sold a domestic take on the French series "Quartier des Banques" to the network, about "psychology professor Michaela Murphy as she unexpectedly takes over her family's banking business when her brother suspiciously falls into a coma. In order to save her brother's life, the bank and her family's legacy, Michaela must contend with her estranged family and in doing so begins to uncover a host of long-buried secrets." Keshet Studios' Avi Nir, Alon Shtruzman, Peter Traugott and Rachel Kaplan will executive produce alongside the duo and their Universal TV-based Midwest Livestock Productions. (Deadline.com)
VERONICA MARS (Hulu) - Enrico Colantoni's Keith Mars is the latest alum bound for the streaming service's revival. (Deadline.com)
