"AXIOS," FOUR-PART LIMITED SERIES FROM HBO DOCUMENTARY FILMS AND THE GROUNDBREAKING NEW MEDIA COMPANY, DEBUTS NOV. 4
NEW YORK, Oct. 9, 2018 - AXIOS, a four-part limited documentary series of news-oriented specials from HBO Documentary Films and the groundbreaking new media company of the same name, debuts SUNDAY, NOV. 4 (6:30-7:00 p.m. ET/PT), two days before the midterm elections, followed by other editions subsequent Sundays at the same time.
The show will also be available on HBO NOW, HBO GO, HBO On Demand and partners' streaming platforms.
Directed and produced by Emmy(R) winner Matthew O'Neill (HBO's "Baghdad ER") and Perri Peltz (HBO's "Remembering the Artist Robert De Niro, Sr."), the show will highlight the week ahead in politics, business and technology - and the topics shaping the future. Each edition of AXIOS will feature coverage of a timely big issue, followed by documentary shorts, illuminating interviews with major newsmakers and trustworthy insights delivered with Axios' signature "Smart Brevity" in a succinct, shareable format.
Co-founded in 2016 by Mike Allen, Jim VandeHei and Roy Schwartz, Axios takes its name from the Greek word for "worthy."
AXIOS is a co-production of HBO Documentary Films and Axios; executive produced by Jim VandeHei, Mike Allen, Roy Schwartz & Evan Ryan; co-produced and directed by Perri Peltz and Matthew O'Neill. For HBO: executive producers, Nancy Abraham and Lisa Heller.
