New York, NY - September 26, 2018 - Oxygen Media, the destination for high-quality crime programming, will examine one of the most infamous criminal masterminds in US history with "Kemper on Kemper: Inside the Mind of a Serial Killer," premiering on Saturday, October 20 at 7pm ET/PT. This brand new special will feature an exclusive sit-down session with former FBI Special Agent John Douglas (author of the nonfiction book Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit), who interrogated Kemper extensively and revolutionized the FBI Behavioral Science Unit, RN and former FBI Consultant Ann Burgess, who collaborated with Douglas, and forensic psychologist Louis Schlesinger, who currently works with the FBI continuing the work Douglas and Burgess created. Between 1969 and 1973, Edmund Kemper, known as "The Co-Ed Killer," murdered, sexually assaulted, and mutilated the corpses of multiple victims, culminating in the grisly murder of his own mother. The special will feature never before seen audio and video footage and will explore Kemper's troubled history, intellect, and evolution. Through revisiting his candid interviews and recordings of his gruesome crimes the FBI formed the blueprint of modern criminal psychology. "Kemper on Kemper: Inside the Mind of a Serial Killer" takes viewers deep inside the mind of Edmund Kemper and answers the question: what makes one man so evil that he becomes the case study for law enforcement in examining the most vicious and demented criminals.
"Kemper on Kemper: Inside the Mind of a Serial Killer" is produced by Glass Entertainment Group with Nancy Glass, Jon Hirsch, Eric Neuhaus, and JC Mills serving as executive producers.
