BEST WISHES (ABC, New!) - Writer/directors David Posamentier and Geoff Moore have sold a new drama to the Alphabet which "tells the story of a pragmatic, once successful man, Nick Day, who thinks the notion of wishes is a waste of time due to a personal tragedy he's recently endured. But just as everything in his life is crumbling around him, things get more complicated when he's approached by a potentially crazy woman claiming to be in the business of granting wishes. And she needs Nick's help." Jon Harmon Feldman and Jennifer Gwartz of Random Hill also executive produce for ABC Studios. (Deadline.com)
BILLIONS (Showtime) - Samantha Mathis has been tapped for a season-long arc as Sara Hammon, "the new COO of Taylor Mason Capital, who is brought on board by Taylor (Asia Kate Dillon) to help run the newly formed company and protect it - and Taylor - from Axe's (Damian Lewis) aggression." (THR.com)

RESIDENT, THE (FOX) - Daniella Alonso will recur on the sophomore run as Zoey Barlow, "a strong single mother whose two adopted children both have chronic illnesses. (TVLine.com)
SNOWPIERCER (TNT) - Aleks Paunovic has scored a recurring role on the new drama as Bojan Boscovic, "a large, fearsome looking man with frostbite scars and stumped ears. STAR (FOX) - Chad Michael Murray has been tapped for a recurring role on the upcoming season as Xander McPherson, "an opportunistic real estate investor who is involved in a toxic relationship with Cassie Brown (Brandy Norwood). Xander plays white collar but learned his hustle on the street and knows how to use his charm and power to get what he wants." (Deadline.com)

Stearns Castle's Michael J. McDonald will executive produce alongside Narducci and Royal Ties' King for ABC Studios with former NFL player Wade Davis as a co-executive producer. (Variety.com)
