AMERICAN HORROR STORY (FX) - Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Emma Roberts, Frances Conroy, Gabourey Sidibe, Taissa Farmiga and Stevie Nicks have formally been confirmed as part of the upcoming "Apocalypse" season while Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman, Adina Porter, Evan Peters, Billy Eichner, Cheyenne Jackson and Jessica Lange are also on tap. Additionally, Joan Collins will play Peters' character's grandmother, while Cody Fern will play the grown-up version of baby Michael Langdon. (TVLine.com, 8/19)
CHICAGO PD (NBC) - David Zayas will drop by the veteran drama as "a low-level cartel driver and devoted father who has to decide which one of his sons to protect when both children end up in the Intelligence unit's crosshairs." (TVLine.com)
DYNASTY (The CW) - Sharon Lawrence has been cast in the new season as Laura Van Kirk, "Liam's well-bred, erudite mother who is so overpowering and manipulative that she puts Fallon's mother, Alexis, to shame." (EW.com, 8/19)
FUTURE MAN (Hulu) - Tim Johnson, Jr. and Jade Catta-Preta have both snagged recurring roles on the show's sophomore run as Jimmy, "a former child star who will be the first boy on Mars"; and Level, "an integral member of a unique family group that Wolf (Derek Wilson) becomes a part of thanks to a case of mistaken identity," respectively. GOOD DOCTOR, THE (ABC) - Star Freddie Highmore has inked a two-year overall production deal with producer Sony Pictures Television. The pact calls for the actor to develop new series projects for the studio via his Alfresco Pictures banner. (Deadline.com)
LUCIFER (Netflix) - Inbar Lavi is bound for the upcoming season as "the original sinner herself" Eve: "After an eternity with Adam, she's grown restless in her marriage and longs for a less predictable time when things were exciting. MAGNUM PI (CBS) - Ken Jeong and Carl Weathers will both drop by the upcoming reboot as Lee Ji-Won, "a local old-school private investigator who plays poker with Magnum (Jay Hernandez)"; and Dan, "an old-school Marine who's struggling to pay his bills as a fisherman," respectively. (EW.com, 8/18)
MOM (CBS) - Constance Zimmer will guest on season six as "a law prof who leans a little too hard on Christy for emotional support." (TVLine.com)
NCIS: LOS ANGELES (CBS) - Esai Morales is set to recur on the series as Deputy Director Gaines: "Smart, authoritative, polished and trustworthy, Gaines accompanies a special prosecutor from the Department of Defense who is investigating the NCIS office and its employees. He is there to protect his people and advise them on how to navigate the prosecutor's interviews." (Deadline.com)
NCIS: NEW ORLEANS (CBS) - Reggie Lee is slated to recur on the upcoming season as Assistant Special Agent in Charge Steven Thompson: "Thompson will often butt heads with Pride (Scott Bakula) as each have a very different process to approaching and prioritizing their workload." (Deadline.com)
SEAL TEAM (CBS) - Samantha Sloyan has booked a recurring role on its sophomore run as Victoria, wife of SEAL Team Commander Adam (Michael Irby). (Deadline.com)
TELL ME A STORY (CBSAA) - Michael Raymond-James, Kurt Yaeger and Rarmian Newton are all bound for the newcomer as Mitch, "a lifelong blue collar worker who struggles to provide for his wife by working for his gruff father-in-law"; Terry, "a war vet who served overseas, in combat, with Hannah"; and Ethan, "a high school classmate who takes a keen interest in the new girl, Kayla," respectively. THREAD, THE (ABC, New!) - Michael Gagerman and Andrew Waller have sold a potential comedy to the Alphabet and ABC Studios about "a group of longtime friends, leading diverse, chaotic lives, who stay connected through a long running daily text thread. Through "The Thread", these friends offer support, advice and ridicule, altering each other's day to day life choices and changing the course of their lives."
