BACKSTREET BOYS, BAZZI AND BRYCE VINE TO PERFORM LIVE DURING THE VMAS RED CARPET PRE-SHOW MONDAY, AUGUST 20TH AT 8PM ET/PT ON MTV
Bazzi, Hayley Kiyoko, Jessie Reyez, Juice WRLD and PRETTYMUCH
will be Featured on the First-Ever PUSH Artist Stage During the Main Show
NEW YORK, NY (August 14, 2018) - MTV today announced the Backstreet Boys, Bazzi and Bryce Vine, the newest artist to join The Sound Drop by PEPSI(R), will perform live from the VMAs red carpet Pre-Show outside of Radio City Music Hall on Monday, August 20th at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. Actor and host Terrence J., together with radio and TV personality Nessa, will host alongside Paul "Pauly D" Delvecchio and Vinny Guadagnino from "Jersey Shore Family Vacation." Additionally, supermodel and activist, Winnie Harlow will serve as the red carpet fashion correspondent. To give fans an earlier start to the night, MTV will begin live streaming red carpet coverage at 7:30 p.m. on Twitter hosted by Justina Valentine from "Wild 'N Out" and Erik Zachary.
The VMAs main show will begin at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT and air across MTV's global network of channels in more than 180 countries and territories, reaching more than half a billion households around the world.
The Sound Drop was created by Pepsi to provide emerging artists with a powerful stage to promote their stories, share their art and connect directly with new and existing fans through insightful storytelling and the amplification of their music.
Additionally, nominee for Best New Artist and current PUSH artist, Bazzi, along with Best New Artist nominee Hayley Kiyoko, Jessie Reyez, Juice WRLD and PRETTYMUCH, are set to perform on the first-ever VMAs PUSH Artist Stage. MTV's "PUSH" campaign highlights emerging artists and connects fans across the globe with a new musician every month through live performances, exclusive broadcast premieres of music videos, interviews, video content and more across all platforms. Noah Cyrus was the first artist to kick off the return of program in May 2017 and Chloe x Halle are the July 2018 artists.
As previously announced, Jennifer Lopez will be honored with the "Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award." She is also set to perform at this year's show for the first time since 2001. Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Travis Scott, Post Malone, Panic! At the Disco and Logic with Ryan Tedder will also take the stage.
