AMERICAN PRINCESS (Lifetime) - Mimi Gianopulos, Helen Madelyn Kim, Tommy Dorfman and Erin Pineda are all set for recurring roles on the upcoming Georgia Flood-led drama. Gianopulos will play Morgan, "Amanda's dry and judgmental high school BFF"; with Kim as Lexi, "Korean-born, raised Jewish by her adoptive gay Jewish parents and one of Amanda's besties"; Dorfman as Nick, "Amanda's gay best friend"; and Pineda as Helen, "a Rennie with a crazy streak." CATASTROPHE (Amazon) - Chris Noth, Nat Faxon, Brian Gleeson, David Alan Grier and Julie Hesmondhalgh are all bound for the fourth season of the series in unspecified roles. (Deadline.com)
LAST MAN STANDING (FOX) - Producers plan to recast the roles of Mandy and Boyd, Mike Baxter's (Tim Allen) daughter and grandson - played by Molly Ephraim and Flynn Morrison, respectively - from the show's original incarnation. (Deadline.com)
LOS ESPOOKYS (A.K.A. MEXICO CITY: ONLY GOOD THINGS HAPPEN) (HBO) - The pay channel has ordered the Spanish-language comedy pilot to series, which is set in a dreamy version of present day Mexico City, following a group of friends obsessed with horror films and monster makeup. Fred Armisen, Bernardo Velasco, Cassandra Ciangherotti, Ana Fabrega and Julio Torres star in the project as Tico, Renaldo, Ursula, Tati and Andres, respectively. Armisen, Fabrega and Torres likewise co-wrote the pilot for Lorne Michaels and Andrew Singer's Broadway Video banner with Fernando Frias directing. (Deadline.com)
NEW POPE, THE (HBO) - John Malkovich is set to star opposite Jude Law in Paolo Sorrentino's follow-up to "The Young Pope." No specifics about their roles were given. (@skyatlantic)
NOW APOCALYPSE (Starz) - Kevin Daniels and Avra Friedman are the latest set to recur on the upcoming comedy as Barnabas, who "approaches Ford (Beau Mirchoff), who's diligently working on his screenplay in a coffee shop, and introduces himself as a producer who'd be interested in reading Ford's script"; and Magenta, "a very committed but meek and untalented actress in Carly's (Kelli Berglund) acting class," respectively. ONE DAY AT A TIME (Netflix) - Sheridan Pierce and Raúl Castillo will both drop by the show's third season as Syd, "Elena's (Isabella Gomez) girlfriend who identifies as both queer and non-binary"; and Mateo, "a dad friend of Penelope's (Justina Machado) from school, who turns into something more," respectively. RIGHTEOUS GEMSTONES, THE (HBO) - Edi Patterson has been tapped for the Danny McBride-led comedy pilot as his onscreen sister Judy Gemstone, "who resents her family for not giving her the same opportunities within the church as her siblings. TIMELESS (NBC) - Executive producer Shawn Ryan has revealed on Twitter that Sony Pictures TV could not find a home for the recently canceled series and that the options on the cast have expired.
