DISCOVERY'S "CASH CAB" HEATS UP THIS SUMMER WHEN IT RETURNS IN JULY
Shark Themed Episode to Kick-Off Series in July
(New York) - Temperatures are rising and so is the competition on Discovery's CASH CAB! Comedian Ben Bailey and his taxi return to the sizzling streets of New York City, giving unsuspecting passengers a break from the heat and a ride they won't ever forget. The Emmy-Award(R) winning series CASH CAB returns to Discovery Channel in July. In addition, viewers can also catch up on past seasons of CASH CAB on the Discovery GO app - free with their paid TV subscription.
Comedian David Steinberg (CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, INSIDE COMEDY, SEINFELD, and MAD ABOUT YOU) returns to the series as executive producer along with All3Media's Lion USA Tony Tackaberry and Allison Corn. Robyn Todd serves as co-executive producer with Bailey as an executive producer.
A favorite among audiences around the world, CASH CAB will once again hit the streets of New York City, with Bailey as the guide. Zig-zagging through New York City traffic, Bailey's lucky passengers will take on classic CASH CAB trivia en route to their destination. From pop culture to hard science, traveling uptown to downtown, contestants will be able to showcase their ability to think under pressure as the sights of NYC zoom by. If they get stumped, pedestrians and friends can help them out via phone, text or social media shout outs.
Coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Discovery's highly acclaimed Shark Week, the premiere episode of CASH CAB will include videos from some of the most renowned divers and photographers who audiences have seen braving the waters year after year bringing these beautiful creatures to the screen, including Andrew Mayne, Paul de Gelder, Andy Casagrande and Joe Romeiro.
