VICELAND LIGHTS UP ITS SECOND ANNUAL "WEED WEEK"
EMMY-WINNING NETWORK PRESENTS A WEEK-LONG
CELEBRATION OF ALL THINGS CANNABIS APRIL 16-20
March 21, 2018, Brooklyn, NY - As more and more states continue to move toward the legalization of marijuana and new battlefronts emerge in Washington, VICELAND fires up its second annual WEED WEEK from Monday, 4/16 - Friday, 4/20.
To mark the occasion, the network adds a healthy dose of smoke to its air with sneak previews of new seasons of two of its most popular shows - F*CK THAT'S DELICIOUS and MOST EXPENSIVEST as well as weed-themed extended episodes and marathons of its other herbally-minded shows.
Viewers will be treated to a first look at the forthcoming new season of rapper/chef/rennaissance man Action Bronson's high-flying movable feast, "F*CK THAT'S DELICIOUS" as well as an early episode from the upcoming second season of the popular new show "MOST EXPENSIVEST" with 2 Chainz exploring the culture of excess.
Other offerings include extended episodes of "MOST EXPENSIVEST," focused on the most indulgent ways to enjoy the best buds around, and an extended episode from the new series "SLUTEVER" with sex columnist and author Karley Sciortino experiencing a new wave of weed-infused intimate products that promise to take user's sex lives ... higher. Viewers can also enjoy a brand-new episode of the network's animated anecdote show - "PARTY LEGENDS," featuring hazy memories from the Geto Boys' Bushwick Bill, "Veep" star Matt Walsh VICELAND's own Desus Nice as well as rapper Rich Homie Quan, musician JD Samson of Le Tigre and MEN and actress/musician Soko.
Meanwhile, VICELAND's critically acclaimed late night hosts and frequent residents of "Smacked City," Desus & Mero, will join in the celebration as well.
Alongside the new and extended episodes, VICELAND will air marathon runs of its popular pot-focused series "WEEDIQUETTE" with Krishna Andavolu and James Beard Award-nominated cannabis culinary show "BONG APPÉTIT."
In addition to the programming about weed, the channel will also include "weed-adjacent" one-offs including a hip-hop/technological update of the iconic Bob Ross' Zen painting show, "PORTRAITS WITH YUNG JAKE" and "CHANNEL SURFING," (which consists of nothing but fictitious, often hilarious stops on a non-stop remote ride) as well as a smattering of VICELAND's award-winning short-form content throughout the week.
Finally, the week will also feature stoner-friendly movies like "BILL AND TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE" "ENCINO MAN" and "AUSTIN POWERS: INTERNATIONAL MAN OF MYSTERY."
