MATTHEW GOODE AND MATTHEW RHYS STAR IN "THE WINE SHOW" - PREMIERING ON OVATION TV APRIL 18
Wine Experts Joe Fattorini and Amelia Singer Join Actors Goode and Rhys for a Palate Pleasing Tour of Wine and Wine Related Stories Around the World
Los Angeles, CA - March 20, 2018 - Actors and good friends Matthew Goode (The Crown, Downton Abbey) and Matthew Rhys (The Americans, Brothers and Sisters) take a fresh, accessible and thoroughly entertaining journey into wine in the lifestyle/documentary series The Wine Show, coming to Ovation TV this April. From a beautiful villa in the Italian countryside, Goode and Rhys set off on a new challenge in every episode, uncovering some of the best wines in the world, and telling the stories that surround them. Season One of The Wine Show will air on Ovation starting Wednesday, April 18th at 10pm ET / 7pm PT.
Passionate and affable wine experts Joe Fattorini and Amelia Singer skillfully guide viewers along the way and travel to 11 countries on five continents to bring back some exceptional bottles. But this isn't a show of snooty wine snobs sniffing and swirling their glasses! The road to discovering exceptional wines and the stories behind them is rife with adventure and sometimes unexpected obstacles. For example, Joe finds himself in a tight spot in the Loire when he discovers how one winemaker helped the French Resistance during WWII. In another episode, we follow him to Chile's Maule Valley to find out how the vineyards coped when they were at the epicenter of the devastating 2010 earthquake. Joe also heads to Shanghai for some research that uncovers a mystery. Meanwhile, Amelia visits Australia to explore the Mornington Peninsula and discovers the German roots of the Barossa Valley.
