"CONAN Without Borders: Haiti" to Air Saturday, January 27
TBS' CONAN will travel internationally for the eighth time in three years for CONAN Without Borders: Haiti, a primetime special premiering Saturday, January 27 at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) on TBS.
After hearing President Trump's disparaging remarks about Haiti, O'Brien immediately decided to announce his intentions to visit the island nation. On January 14, he tweeted "Still reeling from @realDonaldTrump's very negative Yelp review of Haiti, which means I'll love it. Headed to Haiti later this week to explore and make some new friends. Stay tuned for my report."
Three days after that tweet O'Brien boarded his flight out of Los Angeles to Haiti's Port-au-Prince International Airport to film his newest special. This will mark the shortest time between filming and airing of a CONAN Without Borders special, with more details available in the coming days.
CONAN Without Borders: Haiti is O'Brien's eighth international adventure in the past three years. Most recently he traveled to Israel, where he visited Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and the West Bank. Previously he went to Mexico City, where he shot an episode of CONAN with the help of an all-Mexican staff, crew, guests Vicente Fox, Diego Luna and an all-Mexican studio audience. He has made headlines as the first American late-night host to shoot in Cuba in more than 50 years. He became the first American late-night personality to host a show from Armenia, as well as South Korea. O'Brien has joined former First Lady Michelle Obama at the international Air Force Base in Doha, Qatar, to perform for troops stationed overseas. He has also traveled to Berlin. In previous years, O'Brien has filmed special shows from New York, Chicago, Dallas, San Diego and Atlanta.
CONAN airs Monday-Thursday at 11 p.m. (ET/PT) on TBS. The show is produced by Conaco LLC, with Jeff Ross serving as executive producer.
