"THE REAL" RENEWED BY FOX TELEVISION STATIONS FOR TWO YEARS (2018-20)

(January 3, 2018 - Burbank, CA) - The hit syndicated talk series "The Real" has been renewed by the Fox Television Stations for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons on all of their owned and operated television stations in 17 markets reaching over 37% of television homes it was announced today by Ken Werner, President, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution and Frank Cicha, Senior Vice President, Programming, Fox Television Station.

This season, "The Real" went live creating spontaneous energy and fun on screen as well as allowing for viewer participation across social media platforms.

"The Real" has grown into a social media powerhouse with more than 12 million social actions (likes, comments, shares on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram) last season and is on pace to eclipse that number midway through this season. In addition, "The Real" appeals to viewers of all ages as well as having the youngest average age of all talk shows in syndication (51).

"Since 2010-11 season, 23 talk shows have launched and 'The Real' and 'Steve Harvey' are the only two series to last four or more seasons," said Werner. "While there are other panel talk series on the air, what truly makes 'The Real' stand out from the pack is that it is comprised of four very strong, very authentic and very engaging hosts whose chemistry is unrivaled. Fox has been with us since the start, and we are thrilled that together we have built a strong franchise that will continue to entertain, inform and inspire viewers for years and years to come."

Said Cicha: "On one hand, it's very gratifying to be renewing a program that started as a test. On the other hand, it doesn't matter how it got here. Warner Bros. set out to fill a void and it fit our audience perfectly. Congrats to the cast and crew."

"'The Real' consistently delivers on relatable, topical and heartfelt conversations that are relevant to a diverse audience. The hosts have proven time and again they can handle a wide range of subject matter and guests, which has been the key to the show's continued success," said Donna Redier Linsk, Telepictures Business Operations and Programming EVP. "Rachel Miskowiec leads and delivers on the show's promise that there is a virtual seat for everyone and every point of view at the table. The Telepictures team is proud of how 'The Real' has continued to grow over the past four seasons and we are very excited for what the future will bring over many more seasons to come!"

"This season has been a thrill," said Executive Producer, Rachel Miskowiec. "Going live showcases Adrienne, Loni, Jeannie, and Tamara in the best light. They're able to address the tough questions and the headlines as they break. The news cycle is only getting faster and we're looking forward to keeping up with the hottest stories and booking more guests to contribute to the conversation."

In season four, "The Real" was live for the very first time, giving the viewers a chance to interact with the hosts during the show in real time, via social media. The season premiere was a daytime exclusive - a sit-down interview with Jerhonda Pace, the woman alleging that she had an underage sexual relationship with R&B musician R. Kelly. "VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood Week" brought guest co-hosts from the popular VH1 unscripted series and during "#BossLady Week," each show was guest co-hosted by a woman who has made her mark by building an empire.

Some notable guests from season four include Debbie Allen, David Arquette, Ashanti, Erykah Badu, Lance Bass, Wayne Brady, Nick Cannon, Cedric The Entertainer, Erika Christensen, Common, Misty Copeland, Ayesha Curry, DeRay Davis, Andra Day, Guillermo Diaz, Snoop Dogg, Idris Elba, Kim Fields, Jordan Fisher, Rick Fox, Irv Gotti, Derek Hough, D.L. Hughley, K. Michelle, Nick Lachey, Tina Knowles Lawson, George Lopez, Camilla Luddington, The Cast of "Moesha," Shaunie O'Neal, Tyler Perry, Ray J, Melissa Rivers, Smokey Robinson, Patti Stanger, Amanda Seales, Gene Simmons, Kofi Siriboe, T-Pain, Tank, Karrueche Tran, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, (Teen Vogue Editor-In-Chief) Elaine Welteroth, and Kim Kardashian West.

About "The Real":

Led by bold, diverse and outspoken Emmy nominated hosts, Adrienne Houghton, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai and Tamera Mowry-Housley all frankly say what women are actually thinking. "The Real" is a daily, one-hour Emmy and NAACP Image Award nominated talk show on Fox Television Stations and in national syndication (check local listings), with a rebroadcast on cable network BET Her. The hosts' unique perspectives are brought to life through candid conversations about their personal lives, current events, beauty, fashion and relationships (nothing is off limits). Unlike other talk shows, "The Real" hosts are admittedly a "work in progress," and fearlessly invite viewers to reflect on their own lives and opinions. Fresh points of view, youthful energy and passion have made "The Real" a platform for multicultural women. Produced by Telepictures Productions and distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, "The Real" is led by Executive Producer, Rachel Miskowiec ("Good Morning America," "Katie," "The Tyra Banks Show," "Judge Hatchett," "The Ricki Lake Show") and shot in Los Angeles, California.
