ARROW (The CW) - Kirk Acevedo has been cast as Ricardo Diaz, a.k.a. Richard Dragon, as part of a season-long recurring arc: "A hardened ex-con recently released from prison for crimes he didn't commit, Ricardo Diaz is bent on taking over Star City's criminal underworld. A master in hand to hand combat, honed by years of life on the street, Diaz has yet to meet a foe he can't take down." (Deadline.com)
CASTLE ROCK (Hulu) - Scott Glenn has joined the cast of the psychological horror series as Alan Pangborn, "a retired Sheriff who presided over some of the darkest years in Castle Rock's checkered history." (Deadline.com)
CRASH & BURN (Hulu) - Emmy-nominated actor Denis O'Hare and Tony Award winner Rachel Bay Jones have both signed onto the drama pilot. He'll play Steve's (Alex Fitzalan) father, Jacob, "who struggles with a son he sees as supercilious and unfocused." Jones then is set as Steve's mother Debbie, "a put-together woman with a full social life, which often serves as a welcome distraction from the issues facing her and her family at home." CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND (The CW) - Josh Groban will drop by the new season as "a mysterious and helpful stranger." (TVLine.com)
EXORCIST, THE (FOX) - Christopher Cousins and Cyrus Arnold are both bound for the new season in recurring roles. The former will play Peter Morrow, "a local investigator with U.S. Fish and Wildlife and a family friend of Andrew's (John Cho)." Arnold will portray David "Truck" Johnson III, "one of Andrew's foster kids. He's big for his size so people treat him like an adult, but he still thinks and acts like a child." (Deadline.com)
QUANTICO (ABC) - Russell Tovey's Harry Doyle is set to return as a series regular for the show's third season. (Deadline.com)
SIMPSONS, THE (FOX) - William Friedkin, director of 1973's The Exorcist, will lend his voice to the show's annual "Treehouse of Horror" installment, due on October 22. He'll play Dr. Kenneth Humphries in a chapter "which finds Homer cannibalizing himself after he runs out of food while Marge and the kids are away from home." (TVLine.com)
SMILF (Showtime) - Austin Abrams is set to recur on the newcomer as Casey, the son of Connie Britton's Ally. (TVLine.com)
TAKEN (NBC) - Adam Goldberg is the latest addition to the show's revamped sophomore run as Kilroy, "a gray hat hacker described as a tech elitist who is eccentric and intelligent with a droll sense of humor." (Variety.com)
UNTITLED SCOOTER BRAUN PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Scooter Braun, "a manager who launched the careers of Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen, among others," is reportedly spearheading a new singing competition series at the Eye. No specifics were given about the project, which may be based on an existing yet-to-be-announced format. (THR.com)
Z: THE BEGINNING OF EVERYTHING (Amazon) - Karl Gajdusek has been tapped as the showrunner for the Christina Ricci-led series' second season. Dawn Prestwich and Nicole Yorkin, who ran the show's freshman run, will remain as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
