(Beverly Hills, Calif.) - Award-winning journalist Tamron Hall knows first-hand the effects of violent crime. Her older sister was a murder victim in a case that is still officially unsolved. DEADLINE: CRIME remains true to Hall's signature style of reporting as she relentlessly searches for the truth in cases where crucial evidence, testimonies, and motives have eluded those seeking justice. This fall, Hall returns exclusively to Investigation Discovery (ID) for season five of her original investigative newsmagazine, DEADLINE: CRIME WITH TAMRON HALL. Featuring complete coverage of crimes that shook the communities where they took place, this season of DEADLINE: CRIME includes 10 all-new episodes, kicking off on Sunday, September 3 at 10/9c.
"Tamron Hall won the hearts of ID viewers more than four years ago when she openly shared her own harrowing and deeply personal story in an effort to help other families cope with tragedy," said Henry Schleiff, Group President, Investigation Discovery, Destination America and American Heroes Channel. "As one of our top performing newsmagazines, DEADLINE: CRIME, and the incomparable Tamron Hall, continue to be a fan favorite on the network, and we are thrilled to be Tamron's exclusive home in primetime television."

"It Could Have Been Me"
Two teenage girls from opposite sides of the United States think they've found men who truly care for them. Instead, the men are carefully luring Rebecca Bender and Bekah Charleston into the world of human trafficking, in which they're forced, frauded, and coerced into selling themselves as prostitutes. The traffickers not only take their proceeds; they also trap the young women physically and psychologically. Years go by before an IRS investigator uncovers evidence of what's going on. But will the women be able to escape, after they've been brainwashed to never ask for help?
"Wife's Double Life"
A young mom, Jaymie Adams, in Blanchard, Oklahoma, goes out for the evening and disappears. Her distraught husband, Justin, begs police to help find her. But Justin isn't telling investigators the whole story; he's hiding a secret life in which he helped Jaymie make money through online prostitution. After Jaymie's body is found brutally stabbed, Justin's initial deception comes back to haunt him; detectives now consider him the primary suspect and throw him in jail. But Justin's mother and a private investigator believe he's innocent, and when police get surprising DNA evidence the case takes a strange twist.
"Code of Silence"
In some parts of St. Petersburg, Florida, the code of the streets is 'Snitches Get Stitches.' When Cabretti Wheeler and his friend Kyle Ellis are gunned down, the streets are silent, except for one eyewitness who was shot and beaten within an inch of his life. With the shooters still on the loose, the witness fears for his life and soon vanishes. Without new information coming in, it's up to Cabretti's mom, Lisa Wheeler, to help police solve the crime. Lisa will do anything, even if it means putting her own life in danger, to find justice for her son.
"Speaking from the Grave"
Margaret Purk and her husband Scott are just days away from having their first baby when tragedy strikes. Scott finds his wife hanging from a noose in what's ruled a suicide. Margaret and the baby cannot be saved. Nearly a quarter century later, Scott moves on to a new life with a new family, but that life is jeopardized when his house is destroyed in a suspicious fire. Detectives wonder if someone might want to harm the Purks. An investigation into the fire leads police back to Margaret's death and the realization that her suicide may have been a homicide.
"The Vanishing Clerk"
Early on Easter Sunday in 1994, Heidi Allen, a smart, athletic and popular college student inexplicably disappears from her convenience store job in upstate New York. As scores of volunteers search for her, two local brothers are arrested for kidnapping Heidi. Though there's no physical evidence against them, one brother is convicted (largely on the testimony of two jailhouse informants) while the other brother walks free. Years later, a chilling new story emerges suggesting that three other men may have abducted Heidi. While the convicted man's legal team attempts to overturn the verdict, the search for Heidi continues.
"Eyes Like Daddy"
A woman is brutally murdered by a masked intruder while her young children are home. Was it a robbery-gone-wrong, or something more sinister? Within twenty-four hours, police make an arrest but the case is far from closed. A surprising confession just days later points to a dark conspiracy and leads police into a world of lies and betrayal. Will the evidence be enough to convict an alleged mastermind who appears to have carefully covered his tracks?
