Additionally, Wendell Pierce will drop by the latter's season premiere as Alderman Ray Price, "a shrewd, intelligent and determined Teflon politician who seemingly plays neutral and picks sides all at once." (THR.com)
CODE BLACK (CBS) - Melanie Chandra's Malaya Pineda is exiting the series after two seasons while Tyler Perez and Chaley Rose are inbound as Diego, "a rich and privileged charmster who has been handed everything in his life"; and Pepper, "a new resident who's smart enough to get into the Angels residency program, but possibly not fully equipped for the intensity of the busiest ER in the nation," respectively. (TVLine.com)

The project, from Universal Cable Productions and Amazon Studios, is based on Eli Horowitz and Micah Bloomberg's (who will also pen the script) breakout fictional podcast of the same name. Roberts and Esmail will also executive produce via their respective companies, Red Om Films and Esmail Corp, as will Horowitz and Bloomberg alongside Anonymous Content's Chad Hamilton; Chris Giliberti, Alex Blumberg and Matt Lieber of Gimlet Media; and Alicia Van Couvering; with Lisa Gillan and Marisa Gill co-executive producing.
